[Resolved] State Bank Of India [SBI] — Amount snatched by hackers from my sbi-sb a/c without asking/sharing o. T. P.
On 30/10/'23 a message came from the Electricity office (M) [protected] that your previous month's bill payment has not been updated & will be disconnected tonight at 10-30p. m. Want to know the matter? I dialled the phone no. & told me·CESC lodged a rule that a one-month pay bill should be given at the counter instead of online payment. To restore it, Rs. 3 should be given either by card or net banking. He gave me several instructions, but I refused to follow them & told him I wanted to talk with CESC regarding this & disconnected the call on abuse. No message came regarding the successive withdrawal in my regd. mobile no.[protected] Only OTP came during the call with him J but I never shared OTP. On enquiry & calling to SBI transaction[protected], I came to know my 3 debits, 50, 000/-, 50, 000/- &44, 000/ from my SB a/c no.[protected]. Complaints are lodged then & then No.[protected] for 44, 000/-,[protected] for 50, 000/ &[protected] for 50, 000/- from SBI transaction. GDE NO.2426 dated 30/10/2023, CYBER Ack. No. [protected] dated 31/10/2023 & FIR No.09 dated 03/01/2024-on demand from SBI. Legal notice served twice from CONSUMER COMPLAINT INDIA last one dated 05/11/2024, but no reply yet sent from SBI. The matter was also complained to the RBI, given OMB No. N[protected] dated[protected]. SBI &RBI took their decision not to refund money & these transactions should be treated as normal transactions without the addition of a beneficiary. No sensible person shares/asks O. T. P. to an unknown person to vacate his hard-earned money from his SB a/c. The bank also failed to track which account the amount was entered into, as this type of cheating continued for about 2-3 years. Was this information helpful?
