PROBLEMS REGARDING OPERATIONAL SERVICES
AND
MIS-BEHAVIOUR OF SETC COUNTER STAFF AND AGENTS


Dear Sir/Madam,

1. I felt that the problems which were faced by me and my family should be brought to your knowledge to keep you update.

(a) To avoid last minute rush and service problems I reserved a ticket through online for KOVIL PATTI to BANGALORE for the journey on 13 Nov 12. The ticket details are mentioned below:-

(b) The said bus was not operated at that time. We were waiting in Kovil Patti New Bus Stand till 19:30 hrs. There was no SETC agent found that time. Then I went to Kovilpatti SETCcounter to confirm about the service. The staff has recklessly answered that the driver and conductor is drunken, so asked us to wait till it comes. I politely made him understand that this was not the way of answering to the passengers. At last he said go and wait in Kovil Patti New Bus stand.

(c) There we found the SETC agent at 2015 hrs. When we approached him, he was not able to give correct information about the bus service. I was totally upset as I was to travel with my two babies without any reservation. My reservation has gone in vain. Then I myself took the number of Tirunelveli SETC number from one bus driver and contacted them. The phone number is –[protected]. One of the staffs answered me arrogantly as if i’m travelling in a free of cost. He even uttered that services are like this only and will be also.

(d) When the time was 21:35, one Bus(route No-873UD) arrived kovilpatti and we were able to board at last.

3. The incident made me embarrassed. There was a late of 2 hr 35 min. I could not reach in time at Bangalore. I never felt about the late service but the behaviour and responses of your staffs.
4. This time only I have felt that why even our own state public prefers other state bus and Omni bus services.
5. SETC services are good. Drivers and conductors are really helpful. In my opinion, the counter staff and agents spoil the name of SETC.
6. As a passenger I request you to take necessary action against them. As usual if not able to do so, at least warn those who were involved.
