I tried to book SETC bus ticket from Chennai to Tirunelveli on December 15, 2022. Money was debited from my account, but the ticket was not booked.

    I've tried to book ticket for travel from Bangalore to Trichy on TNSTC Mobile App (IOS) and used credit card twice for the payment of ₹820 on August 15th and 16th(total 820×2=1640). The amount has been deduced from my credit card but the ticket booking was failed. I've tried this 2times. Both of the transaction were failure.

    I need your help and support to get refund as soon as possible.

      SETC Bus operated between Chennai and Trichy on 24/October/2019 with id "C524" did not stopped in Thozhudur junction even though the passengers had requested multiple times to stop at particular location. Instead they stopped at Thirumandurai which is not a bus stop at all and they started abusing us with inappropriate words messing up our whole day.. I request you to take required action on responsible persons.

      Departure time at CMBT, Chennai : 22:50 hrs
      Date of Journey : 24/10/2019

        On 31/08/2017 a ticket was book from neyveli township to chennai cmbt for rs. 184/- it was inadvertently booked and was cancelled immediately. The refund of the amount is yet to be given by setc (State express transport corpn) online booking. Online complaint was filed on 10/9/2017.

        After deducting 10% penalty they ought to refund the balance in online.

        The payment was made in netbanking online.

        Pls look into the issue.

          PROBLEMS REGARDING OPERATIONAL SERVICES
          AND
          MIS-BEHAVIOUR OF SETC COUNTER STAFF AND AGENTS


          Dear Sir/Madam,

          1. I felt that the problems which were faced by me and my family should be brought to your knowledge to keep you update.

          (a) To avoid last minute rush and service problems I reserved a ticket through online for KOVIL PATTI to BANGALORE for the journey on 13 Nov 12. The ticket details are mentioned below:-

          PNR No : T3509733
          Trip Code: 1715TIUBAN
          Route : 870UD
          Seat Nos : 18,21,22,23,24
          Time of Departure: 19:00

          (b) The said bus was not operated at that time. We were waiting in Kovil Patti New Bus Stand till 19:30 hrs. There was no SETC agent found that time. Then I went to Kovilpatti SETCcounter to confirm about the service. The staff has recklessly answered that the driver and conductor is drunken, so asked us to wait till it comes. I politely made him understand that this was not the way of answering to the passengers. At last he said go and wait in Kovil Patti New Bus stand.

          (c) There we found the SETC agent at 2015 hrs. When we approached him, he was not able to give correct information about the bus service. I was totally upset as I was to travel with my two babies without any reservation. My reservation has gone in vain. Then I myself took the number of Tirunelveli SETC number from one bus driver and contacted them. The phone number is –[protected]. One of the staffs answered me arrogantly as if i’m travelling in a free of cost. He even uttered that services are like this only and will be also.

          (d) When the time was 21:35, one Bus(route No-873UD) arrived kovilpatti and we were able to board at last.

          3. The incident made me embarrassed. There was a late of 2 hr 35 min. I could not reach in time at Bangalore. I never felt about the late service but the behaviour and responses of your staffs.
          4. This time only I have felt that why even our own state public prefers other state bus and Omni bus services.
          5. SETC services are good. Drivers and conductors are really helpful. In my opinion, the counter staff and agents spoil the name of SETC.
          6. As a passenger I request you to take necessary action against them. As usual if not able to do so, at least warn those who were involved.

            When it is SETC travel remember bed bugs, before that to get a ticket is a super mess, where ever it is, any place doesnt matter, buses without window glasses, ac buses are raining inside, no proper lights inside, a bus will never be cleaned in its lifetime, conductors getting extra money, no respect for commuters at the counters, when we call it's a public transport why negligence on our own money paid via taxes, why the maintenance of the asia's biggest moffesal bus terminus in such a state.

              Me and my friend tried to be seated in SETC at salem busstand on 24/11/2009 by 1:30 AM.
              We got into the bus and seated at second row of leftside of the bus (Hope Seat No is 7 and 8).

              When conductor got into the bus and said that we were not suppose to sit in 7 and 8 because both the seats were allocated to Drivers. So he asked us to change the seat but unfortunately no seats were available at front side of the bus. while we gotdown from the bus, the condutor asked us like ' Are you literate??" " Why are u seated in that seat?" and more.. He didnt behave decently and he tried to slap us.. When we tried to get the complaint number from Salem Booking Center, they didnt help us and we tried to call the Nos: [protected],[protected] to register the complaint but none of them responded to the call. Please take necessary action on SETC conductor.

              The Bus Registartion No is : TN 01 N 7039.

              Dear Sir,

              We two (D. MOHANRAJ, & M. KUMAR) travelled to Madurai on[protected] @ 8.00pm[TNSTC] from Chennai and return back to Chennai on[protected] @ 10.45pm[SETC] from Madurai. In both the cases the Conductors are forced us to pay Rs.250/- instead of Rs.240/- the correct fare. They told several reasons like, it is reserved seat, though it is unreserved, go to back seat, they want to take tea, coffee during journey etc. We though that it is regular pracitce of Conductors on this route.

              We request You Sir, Please Check & take immediate action on the interest of Public.

              I am traveling from karaikal to chennai inTN01 AN0318 324ud, I took ticket for220rs but I gave 300 bcz not have change, conducter told I will give balance after 2 hrs I asked wit him he not respond then said I am not suposed to give money any body, wt I can do I lose my 80 rs, please help me bus is on the way to chennai
              SETC - not plying to the destined Routes

              I made reservation from Bangalore to Udangudi over the SETC net application and boarded the Bus on 1st of October, 2014.

              However on reaching Thirunelveli the Conductor and Driver asked me and couple of other passengers to get down and take another bus to Udangudi, citing the reason that this bus would not go to Udangudi, inspite of the reservation.

              Bus_ID No: #-2096, My Seat No. 17, Route No. H873, Date of Travel - 01/10/2014.

              Want to know what compensation I can claim for this irregularity of service of SETC.

                Dear Sirs,

                On 16th May, My wife traveled with reservation ticket from Chennai to Thanjavur By 323 UD (B-20) Time : 22.30. approx.Conductor No. 5882, Mr.Subramani is the conductor. The Bus comes at 23.30 and due to heavy traffic. the bus is already late. at the time the passanger go to drinking water with conductor permission against punching the ticket also. she return in few minutes the bus is left from the platform. she put the luggage totally in the bus. at that time she ask time keeper they said bus is left from koyambedu you go and pick up the bus at tambaram bus terminess. she goes two or three times run away the time keeper office & koyambedu entrance. after she travelled another bus and waitting tambaram terminas midnight after 12.00 'O' Clock. but that the bus is not reach the tambaram terminess. after 1.00 a.m. the bus came to the terminas. the conductor said bus is left from koyambedu after 12.00 'o' clock. how is said the time keeper the bus is left from koyambedu before 11.30. they told the bus is moving other platform and waiting the passenger. is this answer for told the lady passenger. they told irressponsible answer with passenger travelling. the security said i don, t know which bus is accross the security enterence. the lady passenger. after 12.00 'o' clock the conductor ask the koyambedu time keeper. how the conductor ask 12.00 'o' clock wich is the bus left from koyambedu 11.30 p.m. the setc workers totally without humen being the lady passenger. after i call the chennai onduty time keeper from thanjavur at 1.00 a.m they tottaly wrong information to the lady is to do mistake the missing the bus. they are nobody humenbeing on this situation.

                So, If every one starts going to Consumer court, I am sure the Court should function in the Transport office, and take over the Service against Reservation lady passenger.

                I don’t want to put you in that awkward position and I request you to kindly take severe auction to immediately. at that time whose are duty time workers.
