Dear Mr. Shrikhande
We visited your store ( TGIP Noida) and did some shopping there on Monday Jan 28th 2013. I want to bring to your attention the kind of experience we had. This single experience had things gone wrong on 3 fronts. I hope you realize that your organization should be way better than giving customers such experience.
1. We found display of “First Citizen” card to get 5% additional discount- we opted for it, yet at the time of billing were told that this will come only when we have done shopping of Rs. 40,000.00
2. We were charged additional 5% VAT describing it as a charge on sale items. I bring to your attention that it was not properly conveyed to customers in the store and after our investment of substantial time on finding, trying and short-listing it came as a shock at the checkout time The checkout clerk very clearly told us that every store in the mall is charging this, hence we grudgingly agreed to this, though it was in bad taste and a first for us to see that same items can be tax included or tax additional to trick the customer.
3. We later went to Lifestyle for further shopping and to our shock, there was no such charge by them. So here, in your store, we lost on 2 accounts, first the presumed 5% saving and later additional 5% slapped as the VAT.
4. We were given a time to collect our suit after alternations on 30th Jan 2013. When we went to the store, it wasn't even ready and we were promised to visit again after 1 hour. We requested the service desk to call us when ready and it took good 3 hours for them to call us. We ended up driving 50 KM and spend 4 hours to be on stand-by to collect our item
Mr. Shrikhande, I want to ask you and very keen to know if we assume that this kind of trick, service and delay are a norm or we were chosen to melt out an exemplary treatment by your organization. I hope you understand how a customer feels after such an experience and how he shares it with people in the know and the word does spread fast, especially in this age.
