Siemens Wm 2020 — Service Bad / Unavailable

My Siemens WM 2020 is about 3 years old, worked fine till the time it broke down. Called authorised service, they quoted Rs. 7850 for Parts replacement and labour. The tech came with parts, all used or refurbished visible signs o[censored]se and rust on the water pump motor, the mother board too looked pretty reworked ( I am an electronics engg. and can make the difference out)

He fixes both and then says that the timer part is is out... another Rs.4300 for that. I was yet to pay him, asked him to remove the parts and replace the old (non working parts), asked him to leave, he begged me to give him at least Rs. 100 for fuel, and I did.

Later I purchased the parts online, one by one all the three... Mother Board, Water Pump Motor and the Timer cost me about Rs. 5000 to import. I have fixed my Siemens WM. I needed a service manual… though I could find a few websites, they were selling them for a cost… I really did not find the need to “pay” for the service manual, as I knew I could work it out myself.

The bad part is the WORTHLESS service process of Siemens Authorised Service techs... they also tell lies that "Sir the part is new, because it has been stored for long, it got rusted" ... ya.... I thought... is that how a company like Siemens would store parts?????.... and what do you say about the real visible usage dents.... screw holes showing clear signs o[censored]se.... "sir we test them before we bring them to the location".... probably they also wash a few rounds of clothes before the bring the part to the customer. Can you believe this???? if not believe it.

On a final note… the Washing Machine is a wonderful buy, worked seamlessly until it broke down. Spin Drying had absolutely no noise other than a low whistling tone. I like the machine and did not want to part with it… though at the first experience of service… I just wanted to throw it off… but good I did not. This machine cost me a bomb to purchase, pretty expensive… Siemens team if you are listening, it is not enough if you just make a good product… SERVICE IS THE ONE MOST IMPORANT THING AFTER SALES… if that is not there, I already see why people are hesitant to purchase your wonderful Washing Machine.
