Hi..

I have taken a broadband internet connection on 20-Jan-2009 (paid Rs. 1200 + 1124) and user id is utkarshibm at Nigdi - Pune. It is so called "Unlimited plan".

The serious complaint about the internet service is that till date I did not get connection to access internet through my login id. Everytime it shows "Cable Network is Unplugged" error in LAN connection. I am not able to acces internet in any hour within 24 hrs day. Everytime this error appers when I tried to login since 20-Jan-2009.

I have logged a complaint in customer care ([protected]) and tried to contact technician Mr. Bhagvan (M : [protected]) but till date there is no resolution and now when all came to know that this technical fault can not be resolved no one reply on customer care or cell no.

Do you dare to say me that " YES we are unable to resolve this "Cable Network is Unplugged" error and not able to provide you uninterrupted internet access (24*7) and switch over to another vendor ?"

If possible, please refund me installation charges of Rs. 1200/- since till date there is not a single minute usage of sify internet. (For what you have charged this amount I don't understand.)

Nigdi sucks not developed in broadband service...u hv only one option switch to tataindicom(dial 60607070 best in Nigdi) or try for bsnl data one
Hi,

I took the Limited(600MB) Broadband connection on 9th March; 2009 and paid the installation charges Rs.1000. The user id is: Deepshikha_pune at Nigdi, Pune. Since then I'm regularly facing the problems with it. In a month, it doesn't work for 6-7 days at least for one or other reason and its all in vain to call customer care([protected]) or the local provider Mr. Bhagvan(M : [protected]). They just stop receiving the calls when not able to resolve the problem. I even don't get any compensation for those wasted days.

But now it has become a limit. I've got shifted nearby (Nigdi, sec-21) and before that I asked your local provider(Mr. Bhagvan) that will I get the connection there or not. He confidently told me "Yes" and also took the cable for which I paid and now the same case, it’s been more than 25 days and I am not getting the connection there. Even he stopped attending the calls and suggested me to switch to wireless Tata Indicom by paying extra charges but why should I go for that if I already have the sify connection?

I just got fed up of your services. Why do you appoint such people who can not resolve customer’s problem and are responsible in maligning the company’s reputation? Many a friends have already switched to tata indicom. I tried calling both customer care and Mr. Bhagvan but it’s been wastage of time and money both and I don’t want it any more. I think that sify broadband is always ready to take the connection charges but zero at service because customer care also provides only excuses.

If possible please refund my money since I could not use it properly due to worst sify internet service and the cable charges were also included in that which is already taken back by the local provider and now he is not ready to give it to me.

Yeap, I do agree that in nigdi there is no good service for brodband, I tried indicom and reliance not so impressive, right now using BSNL (Unlimited) pretty good connection :) with continous connection drop and if connection fails due to server prob, Customer Care is horrible, so every time I have go down to BSNL office and launch a complaint . But I heard good about ICC cable (Cable internet), hope if anyone have such info please share.

    I am using the Sify broadband for last 4 years. On Sunday 15th feb, my connection was cut off stating that I have renewd online for last 7 months hence LCO charge is pending. However, for last 7 months LCO didnot come to collect the charges and suddenly without intimation cutting off the connection.I am doing online renewal as the service provided by LCO for renewals is hopelss. They never do the renewal on time and most of the time their numbers are unreachable.Sify is just idle on it.

      Hello Sir,

      I have been facing serious problems with SIFY vendor here.

      Username – Rajeshbodke
      Add – E/301 Matoshree park, Bhandup village (E). Mumbai – 400042
      Telephone no. – [protected].

      I have taken Sify broadband connection on 31st Dec 2008 from Mr. Mahesh Yadav. I paid[protected] – Installation + package) as charges upfront. Connection was on from 31st. After that I was not there for one week and never use internet connection. When I came back I saw internet was not working. I called Mr. Mahesh for the same, he told me local cable operator has stolen his complete set up box and modem. He told he will make sure to give me connection in couple of days time. Till date (today 29th Jan) he never gave me connection again. Instead he told me to use Honesty Net solution connection with his package. They were just trying to give some make shift solution without the proper SIFY connection, which I never wanted. Then I asked him to refund full 1700 Rs because I used connection hardly for couple of days.

      Now Mahesh Yadav is talking very rudely and asking me to talk to cable operator who has taken his set box. He is saying installation charges will not be paid as this is for LAN wire. Can you please look into this issue. No one is picking of the phone call and not ready to talk to me.

      I am really frustrated with the kind of service provided by SIFY.

      The reference number for the same is : 8120016.

      Then I have contacted SIFY customer support on 29th, after five days still they are not able to do anything and they keep telling me that we are still solving problem.

      Please look into this issue

      Immediate attention for this would be appreciated.

        Hi All,

        I, Karan Chandreja, signed up for 400 MB day + Night Unlimited @ 256 kbps plan probably on the Jan 14th with a validity for 30 days. While signing up for this plan I did happen to read that the unlimited download is only post 10pm.

        On Sunday Jan 25th, I started the session at 9.45 along with the computer, however at 10.15pm I started to download a large file size of 700mb which was post 10pm. To my surprise, the broadband plan expired before 1 am on the same night.

        After contacting the the customer service on Jan 26th, I was made aware the a consumer needs to re-login at 10 pm in order to enjoy the unlimited during the night.

        It is very misleading for any consumer, since it does not state anyhwere on the website or while signing up through your renewal portal the a consumer needs to re-login at 10 pm in order to get unlimited download. What it does state is unlimited download after 10pm.

        After contacting the customer service, it was advised that there is nothing that they can do about it. Later on the same day, I spoke with B.Kaushik from Chennai, who again advised that there is nothing that can be done & also advised me to send an email to the customer service id. I was not in a position to go to a cyber café to send an email, due to the incovenience that your service has caused me, with information missing from the website. During the argument he happen to hang up on me. Also advised that he is the fianl word & there is no one above him who can help.

        Today after making STD calls to your head office I finnaly got to speak with Manoj, who again reitrated the same information & advised that there is no one who can help & I should send an email. Upon asking for his manager, it was advised that he is the manager & there is no one elase above him. Finally he decided to hang up on me, since I asked for his full name.

        MY CONCERNS

        Why do I have to go through the inconvenience of sending an email to you guys? why cant the customer service handle these situations??

        What do you have the customer service for, when the consumer have to write into you?

        How can I send an email when my account got expired, due to information not mentioned on your website?

        How can the Kaushik & Manoj, happen to just hang up, only because I asked for their manager??

        Is it a practice that they always follow??

        Are they the final level of escalation??

        Its been 5 days now without internet conncetion, where in I make all my payments online & depend on the internet for all the training related information & bill payments.

        Its is the sole responsibilty of sify to ensure the consumer recieves best customer service. However it is really horrifying experience, with customer service provided by Sify.

        I want a complete refund for all the days I have missed out on the internet & along with free renewals, due to the kind of service I have received from you guys.

        If this does not get resolved here, will be glad to take it to the next level.

        Sify Broadband — service not satisfactory

        i am ur existing customer but my local sify provider is not maintaining line and almost half a month i face problems.
        ya he is true, this sify broadband service providers are just sweeping away our money and not providing satisfactory services . every now n then there connection goes time out . if they cannot provide services to custoners then why do they have opened such broadband service. sorry for my hard words, but this is the reality.

          I am not able to renew my existing internet broadband connection.
          I am able to login to sur[censored]sing my existing password and username but I am not able use the same details to renew my account online. It says invalid username or password. I am login to this for the past one week.

          I also set an sms to the number 54545 to renew the account. It is written that a customer service person would contact within 4 hours. But even after 24 hours there is no reply.

          The 'renew online' option is for those who hate to wait. But looks like sify never keeps its promises.

          I am facing exactly the same problem. cannot renew the connection over the net.
          Although I have telephoned the company 2 weeks ago to come and collect the renewal amount, they have failed to do so. Actually they said that I still had some time left, everytime I open the screen (sify broadband) says that I have to renew my connection.

          Very disappointing service!
          Sify's online renewal portal doesn't work. It is only for show. The site is never out of errors, always saying that the database cannot be contacted. The customer care executives don't even care about your problem. More over, the people in sify don't lift their phones when you call them for renewal. Only God knows what is going through their thick heads. Sometimes I doubt whether they care about their customers. If they don't want to renew their customers which gives them money, I really can't understand what drives them to work. These people are just a bunch of thieves preying on customers who don't have any other way out. This stupid broadband industry needs to change for the better.

            I, Jyothi N, from ambernath have recently taken Sify broadband connection from Ambernath provider. In Mumbai, when service means, the person when called come immediately or atleast attend the day he promised. Here after repeated calling, they didn't come and even 2 buildings ahead my sister-in-law stays, they too called as they got the connection, but still didn't turn up, came when my brother-in-law went there personally. When asked about the same have lots of execuses like, they didn't inform them etc. After filling the form, as being working, I preferred Sat or Sun. whole sunday they didn't turn and when called at night informed due to transporter strike unable to make. However on Mondy when called the person informed he has been there at noon when I was not there, but forget to take my number from the office (form). What doest this means. Same went giving conection, but cables were not put properly at the terrace as my building secretary informed me and also at home. Atleast in Mumbai, and other provider, does this properly. But your sify at Ambernath states that to put cable proper at home is not their duty.

            I, was informed all sorts of things by many of my well wisher, but I m such a person that i never believe blindly and never had bad experience with anyone, hence went for it. Now, I hope as my well wisher informed there will not be too many virus on my PC. Its not a matter of money, but some policy, Why though paying higher than usual (Rs.1800 for connection as they informed that my building is to interior), can't expect a good service. Also, when asking about certain things, no answer is proper which I get from Mumbai.

            I m a layman, though using it i m not a continuous user of internet and not a certificat holder in computer, hence will have doubt which i hope a provider can teach us, that' what i have come acroos from the area where i work without any extra charge and i think there's no harm.

            Anyway, my few days experience with sify taught me one thing that i will not recomend it to anybody of my knowledge.

              Hi,
              I have wasted lot of time in pursuing Sify Broadband service Associates in Bopodi, Pune area to fix connectivity issue I am facing since 2 weeks. Every time they have some very unacceptable excuses or they just promise that they will fix issue. Almost daily I give them a call in reference of connectivity issue but all is in vain. Is there anybody who keeps a track of what kind of service these guys are providing?
              Its very frustating altough u have net connectivity at your place still you are stuck with web releated work.

                PATHETIC SERVICE

                I applied for a Sify Broadband and Paid the same day.. But after so many days Yet to Receive connection !!!

                There is on Associate of Sify 'AKASH BROADBAND' in Palam, Delhi. These guys simply don't pick the Phone.

                PATHETIC SERVICE. WORST EVER YOU CAN IMAGINE !!!

                Did a biggest Mistake going for this

                PL. GUYS DON'T EVER GO FOR Sify Broadband.

                Hope I will go thorugh this...

                planning to go for Consumer court for this.

                  i am using the sify broadband service since 6 months & my plan is 1550 family pack in that plan i get a 150 mb in day time i.e. (from 8.00 am to 10.00pm ) & unlimited downloading in night time i.e. (after10.00pm to 8.00am)

                  but now what happen to me i will be charge even for night downloading. when i call in customer care i told them about my problem they said to me "we will look into the matter & it will be resolved within 4 to 8 hours " but after 12 hours when i called again in customer care so nobody respond positively they said "your complain is in the progress"

                  what should I do? I am totally fed up with these . so i want compensation regarding my problem & I need my validity 30 days more and need strong action against the concerned persons.

                    Dear sir,

                    It has been obseved that My sify account id bk 402 balance suddenly reduced from Rs 314/- on 3 Nov 08 to Rs 198 om 4 Dec 08. I was shocked to see when Login details showed it was logged from 946 Pm on 3 Dec to 0648 on 04 Dec. Though I had switched of my PC at about 2300hrs, how it is possible it was logged while my PC is off.

                    For lodging the complaint I has called 5 times to customer care I completed all the formilities as directed the voice message. But neither my call was attended nor I was called back. Why? Then why we customer phone no is taken during the process. I has observed the same at other occassions and reported to customer care.
                    Once Miss Sangeeta executive cut my call half the way and not bothered to contact by any means.

                    It is requested pse check your record I have made 5 attempts to contact from mobile no [protected] to your helpline no [protected] between 1130 hrs to 1730 hrs on 4 Dec 08 and was not attended neither I was called back as the voice message said once. Pse check you records and the executives on line and duty and responsibility to be fixed and same may be intimated to me for further needful.

                    I donot know who used my id, during this period you people donot respond where the custmer will go.If it is mistake on your part same to admitted and balance to be refunded in my account

                    i am agree with the complin. sify cheet their customer. i also have sify connection. i have taken a plan with happy hour. it means that there is no down load limit between 10 pm to 8 am. also accourding to the plan my speed is 256 kbps. but when i go to login after 10 pm my speed is reduced to 56 kbps.
                    yesterday i loged in my account at 9.30 pm and after 10 pm i started down loading a software at 1 pm. it shows that your account is expire. that means my account is expire even though i am utilizing the happy hour.

                    i am fed up with this connection.

                      hello, i m smriti maindola staying in koparkhairne sector 20, navi mumbai.
                      i have a complaint regarding poor service of sify broadband connection.its around 3months but the service is very poor.every alternate days i have to call customer care for my net connectivity issue.n every alternate days i m facing the same problem of connectivity.i dont knw its a fault of ssv cable pvt. ltd or sify broadband service.please help me out on this problem .my no. is [protected].reply as soon as possible

                      i am tanveer i live in kamothe sector 11.
                      SSV internet service is very poor here in my city inspite of complaining there no one who care a damn responsible(incharge) anil has no answer to our question in kamothe nearly 650 users r there but n the no. of engg. to attend the problem r 4 to 6 this is CUSTOMER SERVICE according to SSV(sify).

                      i hold 3 month pacage but out of which 1month net is down with problems...

                        All most every alternate day I get BB101 error and gateway not reachable. I called up the customer care[protected]. Even this customer care nuber most of the time the Voice system takes the number and then they dropped the call some time someone picks up but do not speak anything. This way tio file a complain, I have to make 4/5 calls. The Franchise person who takes care in my area always visits the apt and asks to show the error msg. I am not sure he should start working on the issues rather doubting whether the error is there or not. The technicians come for the repair is also not upto mark. Lasttime I renewed for 3 months, but I could only 1/3 of the time as most of the time the service is down.

                        Yeah i really agree as the same appears most of the time.And to add to the frustration the download speeds are miserably low at around 15 kb/s which is way way below the service provided by bsnl whose download speeds are around 80 kb/s...

                          I have Sify Broad Band Connection for my Internate since three month.I have got every time problem
                          and interruption in my Internet Connection.My most of the customer's are Foriegner's So I have very bad impression during my business and I am suferring from the Poor Net Work Service provided by Sify Broad Band Connection through Distributor M/S SkyNet, D.48/111, Near Godowlia Petrol Pump, Varanasi (u.p) INDIA, till the date of connection.

                          Sify Broadband Connection — Connectivity Issue

                          Sir,

                          Iam using the services of sify broadband for the more than two years now.

                          I had a connectivity problem in the first week of Sep 2007 and they have not rectified it yet on repeated compaints to their 27x7 Customer care as well as the local service provider. This has caused a lot of hardship for me and have been facing a huge loss indirectly.

                          on 29/07/08 i called sify's customer executive .he came to my home .after his explanation i choosen night plan.i deposited 1500rs as a deposite n 449rs as rental charge in advance. but still i didnt get that internate connection.number of times i called him but he said tomorrow i will definatly come in this way.
                          after that i demanded to return my money then after that he is not receiving my phone.

                          I am really fed up of the Broadband service provided by Sify. Always get the same B101 Error. Even the local service provider is very irrational and never solves the query on time.

                          I have Sify Broad Band Connection for my Internate since three month.I have got every time problem
                          and interruption in my Internet Connection.My most of the customer's are Foriegner's So I have very bad impression during my business and I am suferring from the Poor Net Work Service provided by Sify Broad Band Connection through Distributor M/S SkyNet, D.48/111, Near Godowlia Petrol Pump, Varanasi (u.p) INDIA, till the date of connection.

                          Sify Broadband Connection — Sify leads in worst broadband connection provider

                          I want to file a complaint against Sify Broadband Connection. They are the worst connection providers I have ever come across . We had taken a new broadband connection in the month of MAY 2009, which we got within couple of hours after paying Rs.3500/- and that's it... and a beginning to a nightmare.

                          Since we got the connection in MAY we were able to surf only for exactly 10days (or even less). We have called the Customer Care and our service provider numerous times but to no use.

                          Sify is run by a bunch o[censored]nprofessional people, who aren't true to their conscience. A sincere request to all the readers would be, please do not even bother to think twice if or not you need to go for the connection. Please do not entertain any sify broadband connection, as you would only be wasting you energy, time and of all your hard earned MONEY.

                          I also have the same product. Product code PN51. I am also facing similar issues. Instead of increasing the speed from 256kbps to 512 kbps after 10PM they are further decreasing it. This is ridiculos. Chor hai saale.

                          Sify Broadband Connection — Worst ISP-Sify Broadband

                          Sir,
                          I had subscribed to Sify for a broadband connection.
                          Its the worst ISP ever.

                          I had paid an intial installation charge of Rs.1500 and had been availing of the prepaid facility.
                          Every month after recharching, the connection would work for 4 to 5 days and then it would stop working completely.
                          Repeated calls to Sify CustomerCare proved futile.
                          They would promise to send a technician and resolve the issue within 12 hours, but eventually no-one would turn up to fix the problem.
                          I have wasted so much money on calling up Sify CustomerCare.
                          There have been instances when I had to call up Sify Customercare everyday continuously for 10 days but without any results.

                          Finally they accepted that they couldn't resolve the issue since they were having some problems with the franchisee in our locality.
                          I demamded a reimbursement of the initial installation charges of Rs.1500 and prepaid recharge amount of Rs.310.
                          They had assured me that the amount would be refunded, but haven't received any refund till date.

                          Kindly look into this and make the company: Sify Broadband provide me with a refund of the entire installation charges: Rs:1500 and the prepaid recharge I had made in the month of June amounting to Rs.310.

                          Sify Broadband Connection — Delay in connection

                          We have applied for a sifi broadband connection on 15-Nov-2010 but till date the connection is not provided . We were assured of getting the connection within 1 week at the time of payment by the Sify executive but failed to do so. We are repeatedly making calls to the marketing manager but it is of no use.

                            I have been requesting the SIFY person in charge here Mr Naveen to rectify the issue. I keep getting disconnect with a DNS issue after every 5/10 minutes. It’s extremely disappointing that Naveen has not even bothered to come and check the problem.

                            So essentially I pay for the internet, but cannot use it effectively. There is a technical issue as well as legal issue in terms of the service being offered. Please help/advice in rectifying this issue ASAP.

                              With regards to the below mentioned mail with regards to the below mentioned mail for the service issue with sify, i have been complaing this with the call center since last 4 months and every time my net starts working and then breaks down in 2 days.



                              After getting assurance many times that i wil be getting permenant solution and after not getting the solution till now i have decided to raise the issue with the consumer forum. This mail is also marked to consumer forum so that proper action can be taken.



                              I have subscribed to few of the paid sites on the internet and because of Sify's irreresponsible behaviour i am not able to take advantage of the same after paying money to them. Since 1st September i am just about to use 8-10 days of internet and all the other days have gone just in complains.



                              What makes matter the worst is that just 100 meters away from my house my friend is having same sify connection and he is not facing any problem with the connectivity.



                              Along with this mail i am forwarding the copies of all the e-mails which i have send to sify for the problem showing that no action has been taken from their side. Kindly help me to get this problem resolved ASAP.

                              With regards to the below mentioned mail, it seems no one from sify is interested in solving the issue and no one is bothered about customer service. Since this complain has been send no one from sify has called, replied to this e-mail or visited to my place to solve the issue.

                              On visiting the local service provider and complaing them the reply to me was very rude and abrupt from the person who was sitting over there.

                              Seems there is no customer service and nor is customer respected from sify. This is making me to take the step which i was avoiding till now. Now you are forcing me to take this complain to CONSUMER FORUM so that issue can be solved and also company learns a lesson to respect the customer and solve the problem in time.


                              I have all the complain numbers since 4th of june which i have made with you. I will provide them the details if i dosent get my problem solved by today evening by 5.00 PM and will take the issue on the proper forum and see to it that this problem solves soon.

                              Hope so this give your management some time from their busy schedule (Done know what they are busy into if they cant solve the problem of 1 customer for 20 days) to call up the customer and make sure that the problem is solved by evening.

                              Hope you will not like me taking such an step but not solving the issue will enforce me to take the step and raise the issue in consumer forum.

                              I have been using your services since last 1 year and have always had good experience in using sify till May.

                              Since 4th of june my internet is not working and i have been complaining to your call center since then but everytime i call i am hearing that it will be ractified in 12 hours or someone will call me in next one hour but it has never happen till date.

                              I have been calling to your local service provider at Ulhasnagar[protected] only to realise that no one is picking up the call. On visiting the place which is 45 mins away from my home i was told that someone will visit my place and ractify the problem which has not yet happen till date. For the reasons better known to you.

                              When ever the problem is ractified my internet is working for 15-20 mins maximum till 1 hour and then the same problem is occuring. It seems sify dosent care about the small customers like me that is why there are such a issues which i have been facing since long time.

                              I have never expected such an thing from esteem company like sify. Such an attitude from your side is making me to think about the other service provider at our place (Tata, Reliane, BSNL) providing better customer service.

                              Since 4th of june till date i have lost approx 18 days for which i have paid and have not been able to use the internet. I fail to understand that how is the net working in Sify Cyber cafes where in its not working for House holds.

                              On speaking to your technical department i am told that there is some switch problem and it will be resloved soon but how long will it take? since 4th of june i have been hearing the same thing.

                              I want the ractification of my problem as soon as possible and also reimbursement of all the 18 days which i have not been able to use the internet. Since 4th i am going to Sify Cyber cafe and using internet there to do my official work.

                              Hope my proble will be solved soon.

                              SIFY Braodband Service — Worst of ALL - SIFY Broadband Service

                              Hi Guys,
                              I had taken Sify broadband connection, on 25 Feb 2008. The Service they are providing is worst of all. I had taken 3 months unlimited Download, unlimited access plan for 3200 + 700 (Installation). The speed was v.v. poor. After 2-3 days the connection was worst and it runs onlt 3-4 hrs a day or less than that. The phone of Sify Executive who had installed my Internet at my home was always switched off. Whenever I required Internet, It was always down and when we called Sify customer care they are either BUSY and when not they say we get back to you. Finally Internet was working by my Luck only. Sometimes they say line is down/broken/gateway not reacable...etc..etc.
                              Situation got worsen when I asked Sify customer service executive to transfer my account as i got shifted to a different location in same Area in April. SIFY executive asked Rs.1500/= as installation charges which previously they took only 700/=. They said that your new user id will be created saying that the old Id cannot be renewed. When I asked for my Money back of what I have not used they said we dont Refund any money.
                              The only way now for me was either to pay 1500/= to get a worst connection again. So, I decided to quit SIFY and better use a local cable broadband network.
                              Atleast we can call them when required and are less fraud. So NEVER go wid SIFY as its worst that local network internet.
                              Please do the needful...
                              I even didnt use the internet for more then 10-15 days and that too wid my own luck...no SUPPORT PROVIDED...thats SIFY...

                                Hi,

                                Iam using Sify broadband from April, 2008. From the day 1 Iam getting either LAN Cable unplugged or Unable to reach gateway error. I've spend around 1000 to call those people. I've registered complaints too. When i called they told that they will compensation for 17 days but they have given 3 days compensation.

                                Even last month 7 days (from 21st Aug to 28th Aug) I dont have net connection(because of LAN Cable unplugged problem). The sify branch owner(Medavakkam) came him self and corrected the problem. He raised a complaint on behalf of me for 7 day compensation. Still I didnt got any call from those people. Now I came from medavakkam to velachery. How can I get compensation for that ? Whether they will give money back (part of money which I spent atleast)?

                                Sify Broadband — Compensation of non connectivity days

                                I have bad experience of non connectivity on not responding of franchisee, even after making complaint to customer care the connectivity was not proper. Out of thirty days there was no connectivity even after complaining of 10 days. So I need my validity 10 days more and need strong action against the concerned persons.
                                SIFY IS THE WORST INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER IN THIS WORLD.

                                NEVER EVER GO FOR SIFY BROADBAND CONNECTION, THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TECHNOLOGY SERVICES ARE HORRIBLE AND RIDICULOUS.

                                  I am using Sify Broadband internet service since the last 6 months. My service has never being satisfactory. In each month I lose 8-10 days of my service due to problem in cabaling. These problems are not taken care of in time. Also the costumer care here in mumbai a headche the agents there speak so low the i dont hear anything. The dont have enough knowledge about their own services and are of no use

                                  SIFY internet cafe — Worst Service - Owner looting

                                  I went to SIFY internet cafe located at Indira gandhi muncipal stadium, Vijayawada. The owner just looted me. The service is the worst, I ever had in SIFY internet cafes. I will go into the details, He charged me 60 mins, when I have used only 31 mins. After paying the money, when I said I will use remaining 29 mins, he said that once money is paid, you can't use. Its rediculous. ,.

                                  I don't now, how many people have become scapegoats of that netcafe. SIFY management should take necessary action against that cafe . The net cafe's address is

                                  I had sify broadband connection, In January 2008, I asked Sify customer service not to renew my account as i do not require it for two months. Again in the month of March 2008, when i called sify franchisee, i was given another user id saying that the old Id cannot be renewed.I was charges Rs. 300 for the same. I have registered a complaint with sify customer service for the same and they called me asking to renew my old account. When I called service provider, they were giving different reasons as the Hub is shifted from one place to another, so the old Id cannot work and all that. Is is customer's liability to pay for that if they are shifting? I said ok and with another Id I have taken the net connection.But this time, there was a problem with the net as it was not showing any pinging. When i called the service provider, They said there is a problem with my Lan Card and it needs to be changed. I took my system to the LG showroom from where i have purchased and they said the system is ok, the problem is with the net. Then i called the service provider again, this time also his reply was same that my Lan Card needs to be changed. Then i called LG customer service to complaint against it and i got my lan card changed. After that, when i called Sify people they said, u have not changed your Lan Card.I was surprised, then i took my system to one cyber cafe and there it was working. The sify service provider said, I will prove that your system is having problem by showing it on another system and when he brought another system, the problem was same, then his technician realised that the problem could be with the Cable wire and the problem was with that only.Without checking, they made me run here and there saying my system is not ok. How can one do that? What action shall i take?
                                  This is the first time in my life that i am facing such a bad service from sify broad band.Since last one and a half month I am calling the customer complaint wing of sify for non availability of net connection.There is no response from them and the service rendered is very very bad.Daily i am calling them and they promise me of 12 hrs time.It has from then my routine to call them and remind them on a daily basis.They are fast in collecting the renewal amount.

                                  This is satyanarayana.I dont have any account in Sify Broadband.But every month they are calling me, messaging me to renewal my account in Sify broadband. suggested them to change the mobile number in their database.Then also, They are messaging me again. Twice or thrice i called to customer care and i said like this.They suggested me to give complaint.So, i am giving complaint. Recently on 23rd of this month also i got SMS from Sify broadband to renewal the account.

                                  Sify Broadband — Poor Customer Service

                                  Extremely poor call center service...phone lines are frustratingly either busy, or not responding or transferred or not handled properly. On top of that how can they claim that they are going to call back (when all their associates are busy) and actually dont do it. False Commitments are the foremost things a consumer service should take care of. That s what makes a sify customer frustrating and rude on the call center associates.

                                  This to inform you that we are not provided proper service by your side. we have taken the 725Rs package unlimeted plan of 128mbprs for our net service and they are charging 1000Rs.

                                  I have taken 3 months plan happy hour and till yesterday the account was showing that the account will expired on 3rd june and suddently today the account expired - none of the sify offical were ready to answer my usage - It is absoultely cheating business going on.

Then I went to the Local Sify service provider for renewal of account when I was back and My account was renewed on 5th-July but, still am not able to access my internet and when am trying to logging with my account it gives me a message Invalid User / Account Quota Expired.

                                  Now, am running behind the local service provider and contionously calling to the Customer Care number of Sify but my account is not getting activated.

                                  Some times I get response that there is some problem in Accounts dept and they will revert back to me by calling me on my number.
                                  Othertimes they say it will be activated withing 3-4 hrs.

                                  And now when my account was still not activated they are saying that the Amount was automatically deducted from your account for the service which was not activated and not used.

                                  Please, help me to sort out this case. Otherwise I have no option apart from going to Consumer Court.

                                  Even I'm from Virar and I use "Sify Broadband" which is just a dress to "Jivdani Internet Services"...Nothing is Sify excluding the name...
                                  They still use the old servers and slow switches for connectivity!!!

                                  They charge you maintaining charges over the plan charges which is twice the the plan charges ...

                                  They are having a monopoly over here...
                                  There are no head officers...there are these 4-5 youth who are aroogant, rude, in-professional & running a network which can be ranked the worst!!!

                                    I have unlimited connection of 128 Kbps in day time and 256 Kbps in the night time. Whole day I am at the office but I keep downloading windows update and other things. Every night there is probelm at the gateway and this probelm has been there for more than two weeks. I have complaint to local office and there so called 24/7 call centre but there is no improvement. Once the engineer came but at that time the internet was working so he went back and the issue was mentioned as resolved.

                                      Hi,

                                      It’s extremely sad to say after all this is India and poor services are acceptable here since nobody is complaining or escalating to the concerned people on this issue. I am referring to my experience here with Sify Broadband connection.
                                      I am also trying to bring to the notice of whomever concerned in Sify Broadband as well as other customers and prospective customers on the poor maintenance and service given by both the Sify Broadband and their Franchises (my experience is with Franchise - Vishwa Cable network, Sultanpalya Main Road, RT Nagar, Bangalore - 32). As well as the kind of harassment I have faced with absolute no permanent solution to the problem of frequent non connectivity.
                                      My constant calls to their customer care has only resulted in calls being transferred, reassurance given but on ground the Franchise is giving temporary solutions and my connectivity is not there each time I switch on the system. Franchise and Sify attitude being totally non accountable, poor maintenance including their cable (2 yrs since they gave connection, the pin rusted near the box), the problems in the junction box only resolved recently with complaints from other customers. Further the cables are running across haphazardly on our apartment terrace including on the floor posing hazard to anyone tripping on them. During monsoon now with the exposure to sun, wind and rain the cable has become porous and soaks in water which through gravity (the cable is connected from the box on the terrace to the desktop which enters the apartment through window below) reaches the desktop port and the amount of water reaching here depending on the intensity of the incessant rains. Initially I used the same cable to connect to my laptop (recently bought) for internet connection as I had not yet began using a datacard. But since seeing the water enter into the cable, I immediately disconnected the cable from the laptop and used it for desktop only, worrying about the safety of the laptop and the damage the water can cause not forgetting its cost compared to that of a 5yr old desktop PC.
                                      The whole objective of having a supposedly 24hrs broadband service is a farce here with non connectivity being frequent and is dependable only on the Franchise tech person to resolve it every time it goes off and that again is non dependable. In the end you are left with paying for a service where you have not been able to utilize at all and further given responses that this kind of problem of non connectivity is common. According to them, the complaint was raised on no connectivity - they came and restored and so its fine - the complaint gets closed immediately. Then again the next day the connection would not be there and the person would come back maybe after quite a few frantic calls and most times my work would come to a standstill and helpless to continue I would rush to nearest internet parlour and complete the task. And if its nigh time aligned to the US/global time then one cannot work or send mails or chat at all and having no choice but to be postponed for the next day - probably again being dependent on the neighbourhood internet parlour.
                                      The frustration arising here is that why is no one checking on the connectivity being lost every time I log off and finding a permanent solution. My constant pleas to them was to check and change the cable or even change the pins connecting on both ends (seeing its poor state of maintenance) or at least check with another new cable - this has been till date responded with ignorance. They asked me to pay for the cable and connection charges, its not their headache. Many times the error message showing BB108 error would show on non connectivity - which says due to LAN cable non connectivity problem or the local cable network disconnectivity. I would confront the tech person on why this is so and also noticing him many times he checking the box and connecting cable kept on the terrace and it being restored immediately, his response would be its connected now, problem resolved. I wasn’t given a response why this happened often and no clear answer either. Unable to face this kind of attitude and harassment I mentioned I would not like to continue with their services if this is the constant and continuous non connectivity happening. Further its not being rectified on a permanent basis either and instead an indifferent attitude given to a customer who has availed their services for 2 yrs and has been promptly paying the charges and inspite of not being able to utilise their package completely. The tech person as well as Sify Broadband customer care is giving me clear indifference that either I utilise their services this way only or if I am finding it a problem I can look elsewhere.
                                      Further dismay came when the Franchise Tech person had made cuts on the cable with a pocket knife a little distance away from the pin - which gets plugged into the port explaining to me that the water would pour out of here because of the cut even before it reached my desktop port and hence no water would reach here and thus according to him it was safe. I also noticed the knife had cut further beyond the gray casing onto the red, yellow wires inside also. This is one of Sify and Franchise tech person measure of ensuring the rainwater does not get through the cable till the port. But inspite of all this there was still water droplets near the port, which prompted me to disconnect every time during rains as well lightning. This further convinced me of changing over from broadband connection to the data card to ensure better quality of connectivity for my laptop and not be dependent on someone else who is unable to neither maintain nor give good service and used crude methods of rain preventive measures involving electrical equipment.
                                      Upon looking at this problem of non connectivity closer, it seems as if Sify broadband or the Franchise is not letting its customer to utilise the package completely even though the customer pays for the services at the beginning o[censored]sage itself. Each time there is sufficient balance left every month - especially with the min package of Rs. 230/month and usage dependant as well as applicable for a expiry date every month. The package period would expire and again the next month it would get renewed with a new balance. Thus the customer with the non connectivity problem does not get to use but yet pays in the beginning itself the complete monthly package money. On the other hand Franchise or Sify broadband has got their payment but has not kept their side of the bargain. This is a clear indication of customers being taken for a ride at their own cost.
                                      This kind of behaviour coming in from the Sify as well as Franchise tech person is pushing me to think of changing the Broadband connection - my shock is that it does not hassle them that they may further lose 10 other prospective customers. I really insist people not to be taken in by their promises and hope they read this experience and are able to confront Sify Broadband with this problem before they avail the connection or those who want to still go ahead with their services.
                                      I am sure there are also many people out there facing similar problems with Sify Broadband connection and hope this is useful. At the same time I hope to receive a response from Sify Broadband on the same and this problem resolved.

                                      Sify Broadband — Very Low Quality Service

                                      I m a sify Broadband user with id (a169_ali) and have subscribed for a pure unlimited package with 128 kbps Speed. According to the Norms or TRAI, the download speed should be 18 th of the connection speed, which means i should get a download speed of
                                      16 kbps. But the ISP (Sify) is stealing my bandwidth and the download speed is extermely low. I am getting a maximum speed of 10 kbps, which is nothing but pure cheating. When I complained about this, the concerned technical person told that we cant help it. Now being harassed, whom shall I approach to get the full service I m paying for?

                                      Sifybraodband connection — Non renewal due to poor connectivity

                                      I am having a sifybroadband internet connection . The service Provider is from Maligaon, Guwahati, Assam. They are service so poor that I compelled to have an alternate Tata Data Card connection recelty. I lodged complaint earlier, but your company yet to set it right. Today is my last day for renewal, but due to their technical fault, the net is frequently goes out. Last month also I couldnt renew.                                       Sify — Internet connection frequently breaks off

                                      Hi,

                                      I have been a sify internet user. The internet connection is too weak. The Sify Lan goes out after almost every weak. I had to chase the local vendor 4-5 times again and again to get it rectified. I am so much frustrated with the service. Unfortunately there is no one out here to have a look at the plight of the customer. I will get my connection changed for sure this month. I am ready to pay more for the service but will not continue with sify anymore.
