We purchased a Skoda Octavia on[protected], the car has done only 55,000 km and broke down in the month of Dec.’10. The vehicle was sent for repairs to M/s Sai Automobiles who still has a huge SKODA Board on its gate (Photo enclosed), Noida who intimated that engine has seized due to oil seal failure in the Turbo Charger and also give us an estimate to repair for Rs. 216,000/-. We asserted that the Turbo Charger’s failure is the cause of engine seizer as initiated by Sai Automobiles your earlier authorized service provider (Turbo has no service intervals and life period). Skoda assures 150,000 kms smooth running by this vehicle as written in the service manual provided along with the car.
The vehicle was shifted from M/s Sai Automobiles, to M/s Nawab Motors, Noida on the behest of SKODA MANAGEMENT, who were fully aware of our contention of repair of the vehicle on FOC basis and after shifting the vehicle to M/s Nawab Motors, your service team instead of repairing the vehicle has sent us a quotation for Rs. 339,000/- for the repair of the engine (which was earlier quoted Rs. 216,000/-), the quotation details of repairs were also given to SKODA CUTOMER CARE.
The action of your service team amounts to be a breach of trust customer has reposed in the company beside a clear case of cheating the customer. Our earlier correspondence in respect of the said subject matter is enclosed herewith for your ready reference.
We, once again, reiterate our original stand that it is the supply / fixing / providing sub-standard parts/ products / materials with in the vehicle because of which the engine seizure has occurred and as such the company is liable to make good all the direct / in-direct losses suffered or likely to suffer.
In the light of the foregoing we would, once again, request the company to repair the said car free of charge and provide us a stand by car till the vehicle is repaired and handed over to us. Your personal intervention in this particular case is solicited.

I have recently had a terrible experience with Skoda which has costed me a lot of money, harassment and still an unreliable Skoda Superb car. Astonishingly, The Skoda Company is hands-in-gloves with its Dealerships & Authorized Workshops, who are given a free-hand to exploit customers and fleece them mercilessly by Skoda itself.
I empathize with the similar exploitation inflicted on you by Skoda and hence urge you to not let it just be at the hands of foreign companies, who think of India as a dumping ground and Indian Customers a bunc of weak, uneducated .
I am creating a forum of 100 similar sufferers who can together jointly address our issues with Skoda to apt regulatory, media, public and rating agencies till we get a resolution.
