Sub.:- Non Deliver of Speed Post letter – Notice for going to Consumer Forum
Ref.:- My letter dt. 03.8.09 addressed to Superintendent, Postal Services Shahjahanpur and Dt. 01.8.09 address to Post Master Shahjahanpur

With profound grief I am to write that no reply has been received from Postal Department regarding non delivery of my Speed Post Letters.
D.D.No. 507081 dt. 29.6.09 for Rs. 140/- for reservation of accommodation in Grand Hotel, Shimla was sent to Asstt. Estate Manager, Grand Hotel Shimla through Speed Post No. EV[protected] IN dt. 30.6.09 from Head Post Office Shahjahanpur.
The said letter has not been received by addressee till now and another amount of Rs. 210/- had to be deposited after lot of persuasion for the some accommodation causing a great inconvenience.
I had informed the Post Master and the Superintendent Postal Services Shahjahanpur vide letter under reference but all in vain.
Now I understand as to why Private Currier Companies are flourishing like mushrooms and doing good business as compared to Govt owned Postal Services. The simple reason that comes to mind is being a Govt. Postal Service; it does not settle the grievances of its customers.
This letter may be treated as Notice. In case no reply is received from Postal Department within fifteen days from the date of receipt of this letter, I shall be at liberty to approach Consumer Forum in order to recover claim of monetary and mental disturbance caused to me for non delivery of my letter to the addressee.
