[Resolved]  Star Cabs — cab no-show

I had booked star city car service (from Kandivali west to mumbai domestic airport) on 16-04-10 at around 10pm for service on 17-04-10 at 12:30 pm. i was confirmed with the booking, driver name ARVIND, his contact no [protected]. when i called up the driver at 12:30 pm sharp, he was still a goregaon(but he told me he is at inorbit malad, which he disclosed when i called him again after 15min). after all he said i m not coming, because i am detained by traffic police(i think, another lie). i had to ask my brother to ferry the guests to airport.

when i called up the booking no on 42111111, they said we can only file a complaint against the driver.
now my question is if the flight is missed, who is responsible. will the company compensate?

also, if the driver can lie to customer on phone, how honest he will be while a girl is travelling alone. who will be responsible?
also, isnt it the responsibility of the authority issuing the license to do such business, to check wether their practice is fair or no?.

Spot Citi Taxi Bangalore — No show of taxi

I had a night bus to catch and knowing well and truly of how this company works. I called up in the morning at 9:00 am to get a booking for a service at 10:00 pm ( bus was destined for departure at 10:30 pm). Nice, call was answered correctly. With an assurance that the cab would be available for me at 9:45 itself. All goes fine till evening 8:30 pm. No confirmation from them, hence decided to call up. Assurance was given stating that the taxi will be available at the appointed time. 9:45pm driver calls up and says that he is on his way and reaches the destination and asks me where I am? To my dismay, I called up the call center and horror or horrors, they tell me that the driver has gone off and I told in the rudest of manners to go take a hike if I need to get to my bus on time. Thankfully managed to find an alternative mode of transport and some how managed to get into a running parents with my aged parents.!!! I thought atleast courtesy sake they would call me up later to apologise, nothing happens.This was Friday. I called back on Monday to speak / raise a complaint with the manager. They dilly dally around saying that the managers are out of town. what about the manager's manager? Things started to turn really bad finally since nothing has been done. I have decided to put it out here so that others will atleast know how unprofessional this taxi service in this age of competition. Phew. Thats the last time I have decided to use the spot citi taxi service in Bangalore.
I got cheated by this (STAR CITI CABS, BANGALORE) cab service. i booked a cab on 21st Nov. @ around 11:30, for same day @19:30 and I was given a Booking Order No. 28279, when I called them @ 19:30 after no response, they denied saying that we dont have this booking No. and dissconnected the call. After that I tried several times, but no body bothered to pick the call.
Today, I took a Star City taxi from my home at marathahalli(bangalore) to victoria layout. Being a regular commuter, I know very well that the distance between these places is 15kms. I often take cab in this route and all the cabs end up showing 15kms. But today in Star City cab km reading went on to show 21kms. When asked the driver about this he started behaving rude and giving abuses in kannada. The vehicle no. is KA05AB765. Driver's mobile no is [protected]. When complained this to the Star City Cabs office, they simply hung up without any response and when I try to call them again, nobody bothers to pick the call !!
Even I had a patheatic experience with Start cab BANAGLORE. They are based in RajajiNagar. Never book taxi from them.

The call center ladies behave very rudely. Something they do not bother to answer you and hang up the call. They give false commitments. Before booking price will 400/- and after booking it becomes 500/- and the reason becomes afternoon price is more.

Such a cheat...I will never book again from them and request the reader go with any authorised taxi service.
DEAR SIR,
I HAD BITTER EXPERIENCE OF STAR CAB AT BANGALORE. I HAD HIRED TAXI NO. A 5487 FOR BANGALORE INDRA NAGAR TO MYSORE ON 9TH SEPTEMBER AND RETURNED ON 10TH OCTOBER TO BANGALORE. AS PER STAR CAB TERMS I WAS SUPPOSE TO PAY RS. 2500 PER DAY AND RS 200 DRIVER CHARGES AND TOLL TAXES ETC EXTRA OF COURSE 250 KM FREE PER DAY. IT WASALSO SAID THE TAXI WILL DROP BACK TO RLY STATION.

I COULD NOT USE 500 KM IN TWO DAYS AND WHEN I CAME TO BANGALORE RETURN FROM MYSORE I WENT TO COLLECT MY BAGS FROM INDRA NAGAR AND ASKED DRIVER TO DROP ME AT YASHVANTHPUR RLY STATION . WHAT HAPPENED ...

THE DRIVER DROPPED ME AT STATION BUT ASKED ME TO PAY ADDITIONAL PAYMENT OF RS.350 ( IN ADDITION TO MY ACTUAL CHARGES 3750/- WHICH ALREADY PAID TO HIM ) TOWARDS LOCAL CHARGES FROM INDRA NAGAR TO STATION WHILE MY 500 KM WAS NOT OVER NOR I HAVE LEFT TAXI ONLY I COLLECTED MY BAGGAGE FROM INDRA NAGAR. THE DRIVER MR RAMESH WAS VERY RUDE AND MISBAHAVED LIKE ANYTHING AND ABUSED AT STATIONE ETC ETC. IT WAS DISSCUSSSED ON PHONE NO [protected] BUT THEY WERE HELPLESS AS IT WAS LOOKING LIKE HE WAS CAR OWNER.

I ADVISE EVERYBODY NOT TO USE STAR CAB AT BANGALORE BUT MANY OTHER GOOD SERVICE TAXIES ARE THERE TO USE. THIS IS FIORST TIME ANT TAXI DRIVER HAS HUMILATED TO MY FAMILY.

Star City Cab is very worst, please don't book cabs in star city, starting they use to speak very softly, and after booking everything they will show there real face, actually on Monday that is April 15th 2013 i have booked thee cab for a foreign visitor, around pick time 8:30AM when i called thee star city office they are telling your cab booking is not confirmed, i have sent them mail on Wednesday & also one on Friday, after sending thee Mail and speaking through Phone they told me on Friday it is confirmed, but i called Monday morning they are telling not confirmed, I Spoke withe one Sumesh in star city, when i tried reaching him they will tell he will come after 2clock, when you call 2clock they will tell 5clock, i don't why such travels running in our city they have to close such travels.
