Dear Sir,
SBI card –the logo should read ‘Make your life miserable’ instead of ‘Make life easy’-. I applied for a credit card in 2006 and received the SBI card no. [protected] 469.Within a few days of of receipt I got a call from Royal Sundaram Insurance offering me two insurance schemes amounting to Rs.3600/-.I agreed for one amounting to Rs.1900/-.To my surprise both the schemes were billed to me. I called back Royal Sundaram and told them that as they had not adhered to agreed commitment I did not want any of them. This was within their agreed free trial period. They readily agreed.
However, the processing of the reversal was done by M/s Royal Sundaram beyond the trial period and from then on my misery started. Outstanding amount started appearing in my monthly statement .I talked to customer services and apprised them of the total story. Every time I was calling there was a different person on the phone. They would ask me to hold the line and start looking for records and come up with an answer that as reversal was beyond trial period I would have to pay the administrative charges.There was, however, no justification for that amount charged.
I did not read the small letters in the application form for the credit card which the agent simply waived off saying these were the standard ones and I need not worry. But is it not the prime responsibility of SBI card to protect my privacy? How come my mobile number was given to Royal Sundaram Insurance with details of my profile, without my permission?
I had opted for a credit card in the first place (and not for an insurance), in anticipation of expenditures for treatment of my ailing brother.
Then phone calls started coming, in not so civil tone, to pay up. I tried to convince the persons on phone to give me a chance to clarify. I told them that I as a customer had no product/services from Royal Sundaram why should I pay? I had not even activated my card and as such there should be no claim.
The frequency of phone calls increased with words like ’we will see how you don’t pay’.This continued for some time and then I was served with a ‘Advocates notice’ with dire consequences.
I consulted a few of my colleagues and was advised not to go for any confrontation as that would cost me more time and money, leave aside the harassment.
I rang up their agency mentioned in the notice and told them that I was ready to pay but they must give me a statement showing break-up of the amount charged. The reply was ’First you pay then we will see’.
I told them to send me a mail giving the exact amount to be paid with penalty and all.An E-mail was received by me stating the amount(Rs.3600/-) and the mailing address, to which I complied.
Next month again an outstanding amount appeared on my mobile and I rang up the person who had assured that there will be no further claim. He told me to ignore the message and he will look into it. I made several request through E-mail to send me a ‘No claim certificate’ but there was no reply.

I regret to inform you that till date I have neither received any reply to my E-mail dated 2nd. Sept'08 and 09th Sept.from you nor received the NCC against my payment of the full amount as asked by you. Please send me the N.C.C at an early date. When shall I stop receiving the monthly statement from SBI card ?

The next month again I received a statement showing an outstanding amount and rang up their offices and contact person named in the letter. He simply said he would look into it but never rang back.
Next month I received the statement again with Rs.2811/- shown as outstanding.
I wrote the following letter to the Manager Payment Assistance Unit.

This is to bring to your kind notice that an amount of Rs. 3500/- was agreed to as full and final settlement for reversal of the account by Sri Mannat Singh and Sri Lalit Kumar of A-14/3, Naraina Industrial Area, Phase 2, New Delhi-110028.
Accordingly, payment was made vide at par cheque no. 167648 dated 21.07.2008 drawn on Axis Bank, in favour of the SBI card in reference.
The amount was debited from my account on 01.01.08.
Confirmation was received from Sri Lalit kumar that there will be no further claim on this account.
When SBI card statement continued to show outstanding amount of Rs.2811/- I again rang up Sri Lalit Kumar and he assured that it will be reversed and not to worry.
On receipt of the letter in reference I have talked to Mr. Lipi Sharma and apprised him regarding the payment and the talk I had with Sri Mannat Singh & Sri Lalit Kumar.
He has confirmed and has asked me to ignore the letter in reference.
I would therefore request you to kindly reverse my account and send me a ‘No Claim Certificate’ and oblige.

Settlement of Account: We would like to share with you that settlement offered on your SBI card account stands null and void as your SBI Card account settled for Rs. 2810.34/- and the same has to be received by us on or before 30th June 2008. However, We have received your last payment of Rs. 3500/- only on 30th July 2008.
In view of the said matter, as per the agreement the cardholder is liable to pay the entire outstanding balance including the charges accrued on the SBI card account. We would also request you to refer the settlement letter for further clarification.
Also note that your SBI card account stands inactive for usage and as on date the current outstanding on your SBI Card account is Rs. 3, 074.64/- .

Dear Sir,
I am in reciept of your reply and am astonished to note that credence has not been taken regarding the payment amount (Rs.3500/-) as against 2811/- till June30th.
The amount Rs. 3500/- was asked by your authorised agency including penalty for payment beyond 30th. June as full and final payment towards the due shown and same has been paid within July'08 as asked.I don't understand why an organisation like you is going back on its word.
In this connection may I mention that whatever due is shown against my card has not been examined by SBI Card.Every time I am talking to a different person and landing back to the square one.
I had also attached Lalit Kumar's E-mail copy in my last correspondence.
Kindly, obtain the details from your outsourced offices and arrange for reversal of account.

Dear Sir,
I would like to mention that full settlement against a payment of Rs.3500/- was offered by Mr.Mannat Singh of SBI card and the amount was sent to A-14/3, Naraina Industrial Area, Phase -2, New Delhi-110 028, by at par cheque on AXIS bank.(Cheque No. 167648 Dated 21.07.08.)
When the outstanding amount kept on appearing on my mobile I personally talked to him and he asked me not to worry and ignore it.
The nuisance value the card acquisition has created, has put me into a mental trauma.The amount is not the big thing but the way I have been harrased. Firstly I never activated the card as you may verify. The amount carried is, I am told, for administrative charges of Royal Sundaram Insurance which already was cacelled as they did not adhere to their part of the agreement.They readily agreed and reversed the amount.
The charges carried since the has become more than that combined value of the Insurances.Till date I have paid Rs.4100/- to SBI card (For what I am yet to know) and outstanding amount is still continued.
Your offer for Rs. 1500/- by 31st.Dec'08 for full and final payment, is also a gesture, as very well known to you, that can not be fulfilled, because it is only three working days away.I know I am helpless against an organisation like SBI card and an undue advantage is being leveraged by SBI card.
I simply want to rid of this nuisance value, the SBI card has created for me. Kindly, in your fair judgement investigate into the matter, and give me a fair opportunity to settle the case.

I am forwarding the message from AVP Customer Sevice dated 31.12.2008 again for your reference.In this context, the said amount has been debited from my account on 31.12.2008.
I have not received any communication from your end since 31.12.2008.
I had a talk with Mr.Mannat Singh of SBI card and it has been confirmed by him that Rs.3500/- paid in july'08 was in full and final payment against my credit card.He would look into the matter and see that Rs. 1500/- paid now, can be refunded.
Kindly look into the matter and resolve the case at the earliest.

SBI Credit Cards — FULL AND FINAL SETTLMENT OF DUES PERTAINING TO MY SBI CREDIT CARD

I have paid an amount of Rs.8, 000/- towards the final and one settlement of dues of my sbi card no: [protected] through icici bank chq no 487193 dt 16/6/08 having received many telephone calls and requests from your agents and personnel.
Surprisingly iam receiving bills every month and in which you have the paid amount towards clearance of dues but not for settlement and again you are showing an amount of Rs.12, 000/-towards dues.
As i have no other i will appraoch the BANKING OMBUDSMAN unless you sent the NO DUES to me WITHIN A WEEK'S TIME

Dear Sir,
As per the conversation with customer executive of SBI CARD to reactivate my card, they said to pay the sum of 5500 urgently, i paid the sum they have not activated my card yet, my case ID is[protected]and request no is[protected].I have talked to the customer executive around 5-6times and each of them said the same thing to pay the sum of 5500 as the acoount should be less then 4000 for the reactivation of card, and yet my card is not activated, now as my account is showing debit of 3900 only they are saying to pay full amount and then again place the request for the reactivation.
Sir i will be very greatfull to you, kindly help me with this problem.

    I used SBI ATM Card for cash withdrawal at BOB ATM code no. 1FDAVAR14, located at Varanasi on 30/05/09 under its transaction no. 6015, but I could not get any amount due to transaction failure code 72. About that I submitted a written complain to SBI Ghazipur on 8/06/09 to kindly credit the amount Rs 3500/ which has been not credited in my account till date.

    Please help me in the matter.

    My atm-cum-debit card is defective now. It cannot be accepted by any ATM machine. Tell me what can I do. If possible send me new card.

    My sbi atm-cum-debit card is issued at june 2003 now it has some defect now its not working at atm. Tell me how I change my card. Should I apply online to new card? Please tell me what can I do?
    no cash widraw from my atm card.due to technical problem.our bank manager is not present in branch.(sherghati) i want to widraw money today.so what i have to do.
    This is senthil kumar from Thanjavur. my accounting branch is voc nagar, thanjavur (branch code no: 4899). My atm-cum-debit card is defective now and the card number is fully erased. can't able to book the railway reservation. Most of the time very difficult to accepted by any ATM machine.       SBI Card customer care informed me on 27/7/09 that some amount is due (RS.49900) is is more than my limit. however I have communicated that I have note done any transactions during recent past as communicated dt. 18/7/09 and 20/7/09.d
      I have raised series of communications and not agreeable the dues as indicated by SBI card.

      This has reference to your letter 21/7/09, No.COG dtd.22/7/09 and fsvm[protected] dtd. 31/7/09 and our telecom. Dtd.27/07/09, Email dtd. 27/07/09, dtd.28/7/09 and 29/7/09 along with attached complain letter (scan copy).

      I am surprise and not agreeable with your contention percolated through your letter dtd.31/7/09. The transactions as communicated from your end on dtd.27/7/09 during my teletalk. with your customer care (Mr.R.Soni) some amount of RS.35000.00 and RS.19900 have been drawn in favor of Reliance Communication of Mumbai dtd.18/7/09 and 20/7/09 respectively. Such transaction is totally illegal and unilateral and not acceptable to me as because I have not made any such payment any way or any means.

      In this connection I would like to communicate that the Card is very much possessed by me and no question of any miss handling from my end also you should not allow the extra limit of my card RS.48000/ against such unauthorized transaction made by any body else.

      Now, I would like to confirm you further that I am not held responsible for the dues not attributed to me. My card already been cancelled and blocked from your end I have as per my record there are nothing due against my last payment of RS.4816.92 received on 22/6/09 by you vide Cheque No 875020.

      Though, above all I have already communicated to grievance cell of Govt. of India Legal Affairs and Ministry of Finance. Also I am agreeable to extend any help to resolve the issue.
      But request you not to indicate any due in my favor for your further correspondences.
      My SBI CARD Number is [protected]. My Sbi Card has expired on 2007. For the past two years I am not able to renew my Card and use the card. Please arrange to renew my SBI Card at the earliest.

      I P.Nageswararao a credit card holder of sbi have noticed that my credit card has been credited for rs.1145 on 10 feb 2012 for CPP ASSISTANCE. This is an unauthorised transaction which is not supported by me. Also the bank have insisted me that a fuel surcharge of 2.5% is paid by the bank on my transactions at all petrol pumps. I have made an transaction of rs 1000. and i have the bill with me but in the statement given by the bank the petrol bill was rs.1027. This is a froud done by the bank. Kindly accept my complaint and respond to me on this. I would be very much thankfull to you for your valuble judgement on this issue.

      On JULY 5TH 2012, I received a call from dining plus representative from number '[protected]' stating that this is an information checking call from SBI Delhi of credit card department. They told me to share some information for the new card which they wanted to provide me.I shared my SBI Credit Card number and the expiry date too.But I didnt share my CVV or any password.Also they didnt even ask for any transaction to be done nor DID I authorize them for any transaction using my card. After half an hour I got an sms from my SBI Credit Card that a transaction of INR 5499 has been done at dining plus. I was shocked since how without my CVV number they DID a transaction.
      I have called my SBI Credit Card and lodged a dispute against this. They closed the card and sent the request to their fraud cell.Please help me on this.

      Kindly take some strict action against such fraud companies.

        SBI Magnum Tax Gain Scheme had declared a dividend on 29th May'09 on my folio No. 10139513, but the amount was not credited into my ICICI Bank Account since SBIMF had wrong name in their records(Typographic error).
        Then a cheque was sent to my residential address, but that too had a Typing mistake. On 30th June'09 i visited their Noida Facility for name correction & reissue of dividend cheque which i was promised that will be directly credited to my account in 15 days.

        SInce last one and a half month, they have not credited the same to my account & when i enquire they tell that it has already been credited into my account.

        Please provide your help on the same

            Hi,

            I have taken a Home Loan from SBI kolkata, Saltlake Electronics Complex Branch. I have taken Home Loan of 20 Lakhs from SBI Salt Lake Electronics Complex Branch. We had declined to take the SBI Life Insurance but unfortunately after several reminders we find that SBI Life Insurance is added to our Home Loan. I have issued 20 letters to SBI DGM but no steps are being taken up for the last 1 and half years. When I contacted SBI RACPC they misbehaved and declined to cooperate.

              I have opened my demat account bearing ESI No. 82575 in the month of June, 2009 in SBI, Magadi Road Branch, on the representation in the Times of India Advertisement and as per internet advertisemnet of SBI that, there will not be any AMC charges for the first year.

              However, the Bank has deduted the AMC charges of Rs. 400/- from my account. I have informed the same through mail to the Branch Manager, however, i am unable to get the response.

              First of all, i was upset with SBI for their poor service and i waited for two months to get my demat account activated and that too after continoues followups with the demat people. Even i made to run pillare to post even to get my net banking activated, even after i have a business with SBI from several years and there is no instance of single cheque bounce. Really i upset with sbi, who's people are not at all service oriented and even i had a chat with some higher ups of Banks for issuing the cheque books and with much difficulty, i got it done. You are saying, SBI is having so much of business, so much of net worth etc in the Companies statement, but the kind of service what the people are getting is nothing but zero.

              The deduction of AMC for 1st year is nothing but, illegal. Requesting to look in to the matter and address the same.

                  I was trying to withdraw 25.000/- from My SBI Debit card from SBI ATM, unfortunately i didnt get 25K from the ATM machine but the transaction completed with number S1AC2161 and the 25, 000 amount was debited from my account and i got the recipient with error code 09.

                  I have a savings account ([protected]) with Dharmapuri State Bank branch.(TAMILNADU).

                  I have used Indian overseas Bank, Dharmapuri Branch ATM Centre(ATM card No:I[protected]) on (19.09.2009 ) for withdrawal amount Rs.15, 000/-.

                  A bad experience I have gathered. I have not received any money from the Indian Overseas
                  Bank ATM. But my account is showingn that Rs.15, 000/- has been debited for the transaction.

                  I have complained to my SBI Branch with proper documents i.e. transaction slips etc.
                  But the branch manager has not still initiated about the matter in my favour.

                  SBI is not responding about this matter.

                  I need the money immediately as it is my salary money and I am out of cash right now.

                  Already twenty days have passed and running very much short in money, also it is diwali time only festival celebrated in my house so, please arrange to credit the same to my account immediately.

                  so I request you to please take this letter seriously and do my need .

                  On 16.2.09at about 6pm to 7pm I went to an ATM Counter of SBI to withdrawn cash for Rs.1300/-. in komarapalayam (my ac no.[protected]) After entering all require information the transaction processing was complete but payment was not made due to ATM PROBLEM my account Debit Immidiately I contract with near bank manager but he told where your account open . i told in dharmapuri brance he told that to Complaint to your brance i complaint to brance 0n giving written complain end of march but yhe not taken action i went more than 5 time but . But unfortunately till date (total 6 months) my amount has not credited (not add) to my account. . So, kindly look in to the matter. So, please correct my A/c. Balance i need replay with 15 days after i will take action.

                    i am acount holder of STATE BANK OF INDIA. on 14 june i was tried to withdraw the 15000 Rs. form UBI ATM but i couldnt able to withdraw the money, atm slip showed the transaction declined so i went to the ICICI ATM and withdraw the money but when i saw the slip it showed that the transaction that i did with UBI got debited form my account without actual withdrawl so i made the complaint about that to the sbi matunga brach (my account in matunga branch & i am staying in koparkhairane navi mumbai) from last two and half month i am trying to get back my money. i went matunga more than five time and taking follow up on telephone everyday still i do not get my money back so please help me

                        Sir they have deducted Rs 10 as non home printed charges without prior intimation. It is highly objectional.

                          Dear Sir,
                          I am lodging the complaint through this e-mail about the telephonic harassment by SBI. The Cheque no. 335773 dated 10.07.2009 of Rs2000, drawn on Axix Bank. Gandhidham, Gujarat for the payment due on against my SBI Credit card number [protected] was dropped in the drop box of Skybox -Kavita Prosivison Store Metri Road, Thx -56, Adipur - Kutch Gandhidham -370205 on 20th July 2009, after waiting for their executive who fail to turn up to collect the payment. Now evey day about 2/3 call are being received even after informing the details of the payment and their executives are asking to check and confirm if the payment form the drop box is collected on not. Those executives were unable to tell the status of the cheque deposited on 20th July'09. and instead asking for one more cheque of the same amount advising me to stop payment of the previous cheque. How can I make the due payment twice. Even if i make the payment in case of misplaced cheque, they should send me a e-mail stating the fact and assuring not to en cash the previous cheque after I issue a new cheque.

                          I therefore request the grievances cell of RBI also to please look into the matter urgently to stop this harassment by SBI.

I am a diploma holder As per the table number 112, My basic pension would be 6513/- per month. Then as per the existing DA 35% total amount becomes 6513+[protected]x35%)=[protected]commuted Amount) =7297/-. So I should get Rs 7297/- per month as my pension, but presently I am getting only Rs 6803/- . You are requested to look into the matter and do the needful at the earliest.

                                Dear sir,

                                I had a account (Account number [protected]) with SBI @ kanchipuram branch. 23-Jul-2009 night withdraw 10000 plus 10000 from IDBI ATM at kanchipuram. But my account debited from 30000. I checked with my statement. Double entry for one transaction, details[protected] 7411 ATM0253.Went to bank and meet with cash manager but no response from that guy. He said amount credited within 30 days or more.

                                yes this happens ofent.. even in debit card, i hd faced many problems at sbi bit the respond so irresponsible..
                                rbi must take proper action aginst this isues.

                                  i ajeet kumar gupta having an a/c in the sbi naval base vizag andhrapardesh. a/c no [protected]
                                  when i tried to withdraw rs 2500 from my a/c [protected] on 4th july around 0900 pm from the sbi atm malakapuram at the time atm machine switched off so that i could not recievd any money nor any reciept from the atm .
                                  but when i checked the balance from the other atm after an hour the balance was deducted from my a/c.br...

                                  Sir, my self is Athare S L, I have an salary account with SBI Akola branch and my account no is-[protected]. Last 22 may I was trying to withdrawal of RS 5000 at Ahmednagat (Delhi get ATM) That time ATM was apper a massage “CURRENTY UR TRASICTION IS NOT POSSIBLE PL TRY AFTER SOME TIME”, Than I was return to home and I did not receive any cash but my account was debited with RS 5000. I was give complaint through application with ATM receipt to Akola and Ahmednagar SBI brach but I don’t given positive reply from both bank. So pl help me and solve my problem.

                                    Respected Authority,

                                    1 I am above mentioned Indl holding (DSP) Account with Sujanpur branch (03138) which is opened on 21 Jul 2009. I Applied for Joint account but only a single account has been opened . As you can check the application with the branch which is dated 02 July 2009 Which I have submitted on last week of Jun 2009.Besides I clearly mentioned in application form for net banking facility, Which I was asked to come after a month.

                                    2 Secondly, I deposited an amount of 15235/- to clear my loan A/C No [protected] Srinagar branch (05942) .They deposited and acknowledged me back. Next day I was called to the branch, but no one responded properly what has happened . Finally at late evening they gave a Bankers Cheque and asked to collect cash back.

                                    3 Thirdly, I needed a personal loan. I consulted branch manager after opening of my Account. He spoke rudely and gave no information. I came back waited a long time finally got the information of documents those who fulfils the personal loan. After regular visits from 21 July 2009 I was asked to come the next day. I came to know with my friends that branch manager and Field officer needs Rs 1000/- for Rs 100000 of personal loan or a Royal Stag Whisky case, which cost around Rs 3000/- or Some deodorant bottles from CSD canteen to sanction the loan. You can check many Personal loans has been sanctioned the same way after 21 July 2009 .



                                    4 As I saw the captions of your bank “SERVICE TO THE SERVICES” and INTRODUCING TAILOR MADE SALARY PACKAGE THAT UNDERSTANDS THE ARMY’S NEEDS BETTER” I feel really bad with your service. As this is only option which I supposed to use.
                                    5 You are therefore, requested to rectify this matter as early as possible and please intimate.

                                    SBI Personal loan — HARASSING THE FAMILY OF EXPIRED LOAN HOLDER

                                    MY FATHAR WAS AN GOVT EMPLOYEE. HE HAD A PERSONEL LOAN FROM SBI. AFTER PAYING A FEW INSTALLMENT HE EXPIRED. MY MOTHER IS PENSION HOLDER. NOW THE BANK IS FORCING MY MOTHER TO RECOVER THE LOAN FROM PENSION. IF SHE DOES NOT AGREE TO PAY THE SAME THE BANK HAS THREATENED THAT THEY WOULD AUTOMATICALLY CUT THE AMOUNT PENSION. LOOKING OUR FAMILY CONDITION WE ARE UNABLE TO PAY THE SAME. CAN THE BANK FORCE US TO PAY ? CAN THE BANK CUT THE AMOUNT FROM THE PENSION WITHOUT PERMISSION? CAN I TAKE HELP OF CONSUMER FORUM ABOUT THIS MATTER? I REQUEST YOU KINDLY TO GIVE ME A SOLUTION.

                                      ER CITY CHARGE

                                      I have an account in SBI, they had deducted Rs.25/- in this month as ER CITY CHARGES 38976288.
                                      Why they are deducting like this with the name of ER CITY CHARGES . What is this ER CITY CHARGES. I called SBI I didn't get good response....
