[Resolved]  Street Dogs — Catching of street dogs

I, Dinesh Rathod resident of Govind Nagar, Haji Bapu Road, Malad (East) would like to bring your kind attention on the problem being faced by residents of Govind Nagar, Saxeria Chawl, Near Ami Darshan Building, as a whole. Sir there is numerous street dogs in this vicinity. They bark/bite even on permanent residents of this area. I have seen and faced this situation where these dogs bark on us and come closer to bite. Several people have faced the same problem especially small children, senior citizens & housewives. Especially at night these dogs just come running behind you in a group and are almost about to bite.

We are not able slip at night as they bark whole night near our doors, making dirt in the chawl. Last week one of dog bitten to my friends son & injured him. Therefore the major problem is face by our children near age of 4-5 year.

So this is my humble request to you to please pay attention on my letter and send Dog catcher team immediately in this area so that we can get rid of this problem soon. I have taken some signature of residents who are facing these problems in Annexure - 1.

Sir, there are so many violent street dogs in this locality because of them it’s very difficult to take step out from our houses especially at night. I come late night from my office and I have seen and faced this situation where these dogs barks on us and they come closer to the motor bike rider to bite them. Sometime biker loses their consideration from the road which becomes a cause of serious causalities.
Generally, these dogs you can see lying on the roads and they make their victim the entire person who passes from them.
It is dangerous for our children.
so this is my humble request to you to please pay attention on my letter and send immediately Dog catcher team in this area so that we will get rid of this problem soon.

I'm a resident of Dwarka Nagar , comes into the postal area of Trimulgherry, secunderabad-15. we have a serious trouble with these street dogs. These dogs are breeding and increasing in no's which is creating lot of noise and its becoming difficult to walk on the streets as they come and bark on us. I have a small daughter who plays in front of the house but its difficult to come out of the house .
we need dog catchers to fetch these dogs away from household areas so that we can sleep peacefully at night as well as day time.
Hope there are people who care for people and will action upon people's complaints .please help us to get rid of street animals.

There are many stray dogs near and around arumbakkam,chennai. Many people are bitten by them.They do not leave any body passing that way.Many small children are affected by these street dogs.I find that many of the street dogs that are affected by rabies licks small children.So there are lots of chances for the small children to get affected by serious dieseses. I request our mayor to take immediate action in getting rid of them and make chennai a better place to live.

we are living here at flat no 532 1st floor in sector 17 pkt A dwarka we are facing lots of problems from street dogs which are very dangerous and there are approx 20-25 numbers of dogs are in our pocket .my 8 years old son bitted by the dogs twice in last 6 months.its my humble request to u pls catch all the street dogs and remove them from here.

Sarita Vihar (New Delhi) is full of street dogs, who bark on every moving vechicle. It appears as if some have dumped them in Sarita Vihar because unimaginably huge in number.

Today 12th Jan 2011, my mother was coming from bank from B block, a dog became ferocious for no reason and give a hard bite on one of the leg of my mother. We had to rush her to a clinic to get her medicated on time. Why should we suffer when someone is not doing there job.

I want MCD to take imemdiate action and acknowledge to Sarita Vihar - RWA when the job is done. Otherwise these dangerous dogs will cause people to end up loosing some of there body parts.

I am a resident of Ittmadu area in Bangalore. There are a lot of dogs here and they create disturbance at night. The noise is so much that it is very difficult to get sleep even if we keep all the doors and windows closed. With long working hours and no sleep its getting worse day by day. Hopefully, someone can help us.

In Sainik Vihar, Delhi-34, the number of street dogs has gone really high.The entire lane from Gate No. 1 to gate no. 4 is full of dogs, there must be around 30 street dogs in here. They keep barking all night and kids cant go out on streets during day. This is causing a lot of inconvenience to the residents of sainik vihar. Dogs sterilization project is going on in Delhi, but this area is probably still unnoticed. I am witnessing the fourth or fifth generation of dogs here. The number is really alarming. Please do something about these street dogs asap.

Dear Sir/ Mam,
I am residing in Flat No. 353, Sector – IV, Type – II, Timar Pur, Near Police Station, Delhi – 110 054. My house is just in front of park. There are some 12-15 stary dogs in our locality who gathered in that park and bark. They made the life misrable for the residents and the dogs are becoming a threat to all passersby. Already some people are bitten by them.

They cause a lot of disturbance all day long and night... All dogs bark simultaneously at night. Due to their noise no one can sleep. The worst part is they are increasing in number day by day.

Please help us all avoid such things. Do immediately arrange to send a team of dog catchers in our area.

We, the citizen of India Living in New Delhi, East Punjabi Bagh, E-3 Bhagwan Dass Nagar is not able to sleep at night and is not able to live our life in peace.

The big and huge problem is Dog’s living in our neighbourhood. One Dobermann in E-2 Bhagwan Dass Nagar and another Rottweiler in E-4 Bhagwan Dass Nagar, according to my little knowledge I am aware that both the dogs are very dangerous for human lives. If these dogs are angry then it is dangerous to our small kids.

Not only the problem is over here, we have kids who are studying in the night and will shortly have their exams, who are not able to concentrate at all.

We cannot talk to each other sitting in our rooms inside the house as when these dogs start barking then it is so loud. It seems to us that these dogs reply to each other.

The dogs all around the house everyday which is very unhygienic and the smell is so bad that our living in our house is becoming very difficult.

We pay all the taxes in time always, are obeying and doing all our duties towards the community faithfully and sincerely.

I strongly request you to please take appropriate action to make my and my family live in peace.

Sir, there are so many mad street dogs in this locality because of them it’s very difficult to take step out from our houses especially at night. I have seen and faced this situation where these dogs barks on us and they come closer to the motor bike rider to bite them. Generally, these dogs you can see lying on the roads and they make their victim the entire person who passes from them. One of these dogs have bitten on leg on my wife and today my niese have survive with the bite of dog.

I am recently shifted to HSR Layout sector-1 near to Cambridge school. I assumed HSR to be one of the best RESIDENTIAL peaceful layout. But since the time i have shifted, none of my family members are able to have a peaceful sleep at night because of dogs who keeps fighting among themselves, howling barking.
My parents(both have almost crossed 60) are finding it quite difficult to have even a hr or two of sound sleep.

Kindly help us with thee street dogs.

Stray dog population is growing high in Kaggadasapura and they are attacking people in groups. Its becoming a threat to the life of kids and even elders. At night time it is extremely difficult to drive in 2 wheelers or walk freely after 11pm.

Specific attention is invited to 10th cross Kaggadasapura (cross opposite to SMART) - there are at least 2 stray dogs in this road (one white and the other one is black) which regularly attack people and kids.

Please ..please..please arrange the dog catchers to catch these dogs. I am writing this 10 min after escaping from these dogs just at 10pm in the night.

Sir, we are staying in lingampally, tara nagar, tulja bhavani street...sir, in our street 6 to 7 dogs barking in midnight & we cannot get sleep whole night regarding nuisance created by dogs, so kindly get rid of these dogs..

I am from sector 3 kharghar, navi mumbai and in the road after 10 there are more than 20 stray dogs and it fights and bark till morning 6 am and we sector 3 people are not able to sleep or walk in the night please take actions.
