Student — Non functioning tablet and rude customer service

This is in regard to my non functioning aakash tablet I had booked an aakash tablet in 2011 when it was just launched because of it features and the most important thing it was supposed to be useful for students . I booked it online but later I lost all hope of receiving it . Later in 2013 I got a call from data wind telling me about the tablet . They kept calling me everyday pestering me to purchase it finally I purchased it because it was supposed to be helpful to students . It arrived on the 26 of July in the afternoon the courier guy who had brought had kept the piece right At the bottom of his bag under many boxes . Later I switched it on it began to hang the battery started going low very fast it would even go off on its own . I thought maybe its new so it would take time to configure . The dongle also wouldn't connect after trying to connect the dongle on various occasions it wouldn't connect . Then later one day o switched it on n the screen began to show white line . I immediately contacted the customer care helpline but no one answered my call later I sent an email to datawind they got back to me and asked me to go to the service centre which is aastha enterprises at bhyandar west which is very far from where I reside . On reaching the Service centre they told me it was a physical damage and that i woud hav to pay for repairing it even though the tab is just a month old and is still in warranty this came as a shock to me because there hasn't been any damage caused from my side . After asking the service centre guy as to what is the physical damage he just kept saying physical damage you have to pay he jus looked at it and gave the verdict .i refused to pay for fixing it I went back home and contacted customer care they dint answer my call so I sent them an email they reverted by sayin they would get back within 48 hours there wasn't any call back after 48 hours I again sent an email and got te same reply but yet no call from datawind later I from my side called and told them my issue and I requested for a refund of the money they told me that they would contact the service centre and get back to me by 6 in the evening I kept waiting for a call but no reply came from data wind I again called the customer care and spoke to some person names niramal kumar I told him I wanted to speak to a senior he told me the senior is busy and cannot come this is ridiculous customer service that the senior cannot leave his work to attend a customer he later told me he would call me at 11.30 next morning and connect me to a senior next day I kept waitin g for the call and then called the customer care in the evening I got to speak to a person I called niramal kumar had jaundice and had not come to work I found it as a stupid excuse from their side later I spoke to a senior named rajpret he said he would look into the matter and calls back by 6 the next day and m still till now expecting that call from datawind regarding the refund . I found this to be complete mockery of the customer and above all cheating . I would like you'll to teach your customer care some ethos and and I want a refund for my tablet and no other solution just a refund the imei no of the same tablet is [protected] and my complaint no is 0822mh898 please look into the matter and send me the refund as soon as possible awaiting a favourable response about the refund Annalesha dmello
