[Resolved]  Sun Direct — Unreliable Customer Support with lot of FAKE promises

On 24th aug 2011, I recharged sun direct DTH & I called customer support for enabling few channels. I opted for AXN, ZEE studio, SET MAX, NGC, Animal Planet, Star sports, Star Cricket, Star Movies, HBO, Discovery. They informed me that channels will be activated within 2 hrs time. When I checked, I found that AXN, ZEE studio, SET MAX, NGC, Animal Planet were activated where as other channels - Star sports, Star Cricket, Star Movies, HBO, Discovery were showing errors (E16-4 error). I thought these channel may still be in the activation process.

Exactly last Saturday i.e. 27th aug 2011, when i checked this channels, i found the same error still displaying. So I called Sun Direct Customer Support and I briefed the whole stuff, then they tried few things like manually updating channels, but its of no result. They said like within 3hrs time their technical persons will callback to my number and they will sort out. I asked them that these channels are not activated yet, but still I paid for it...since for the last four days these channels are not in active, I would want you to extend the validity end date to four days for these channels, but in response they said like, channel validity is already fixed when you recharge, it can’t be refixed. I said it is like looting money from the customer, the user can only recharge & can inform you about the activation. But if its not activated properly, then you have to bare it, instead o[censored]sers who is still have to call you enabling channels. I was not interested in insisting them for extending the validity of channels, since I was too keen on enabling the channels. They gave me an complaint no:[protected]I don’t know what for they gave this).

I waited till evening, once again I called the sun direct dth support and I referred the complaint number but again they are asking me what the scenario is, I said I have already made the complaint it will be there if you checked your system with this complaint number. But they were very reluctant and insisting me to inform me once again, so without any options, I briefed everything once again. Then they asked me to check the channels again. I checked it and said, it is showing the same error, in return they informed me that I will receive an call from the technical support within half an hour to 24hrs (Really bizarre thing is’t it, expecting call from 1/2hr to 24hrs). As usual I did’t received call.

Again I called next day by 11am, referred the same complaint number but again they are asking me what the scenario is, really I got fed up with the complaint number what for they gave this? Its seems to be a mere nonsense, I once again I briefed out everything, in return they said me to check the channel. I did check and informed the same old story that it shows the same error. Then they informed me that with in 3hrs time I will be receiving call from their technical support. As expected no calls from them, again I called them by night 8pm, again one guy promised that I will receive call within 2hrs time, I said this answer has been heard a lot, again no call from them.

After going through this unpleasant experience, I could only explore the unreliability of Sun Direct DTH customer support and their lot of fake promises which makes customer to feel bad. I was really warned by lot of friends and relatives, when I told them that iam going to buy SUN DIRECT DTH. But now iam paying for that.....atleast people who ever reading this, pls don’t opt for SUN DIRECT DTH, it really sucks.
