[Resolved]  Sun Direct — Poor Services/ Excess charges

I am a customer of Sun Direct , My set top Box is not working at all from[protected], for this I have lodged a Complaint at Sun Direct Customer Care, I got the following Information from their:

1 New set Top Box Charges – Rs 3000

2. Service Charges of Dealer – From Rs 100 to 400 (Earlier they charged Rs 300) + Additional Charges in case of any physical damages or change of Part.


3. New Connection + Set Top Box + 4 Month subscription = Rs 525 + 1250 (Installation) = 1775.


The above information appears to be funny. From this my interpretation is that, one should take a new connection rather than repairing the Sun Direct Set Top Box.

I have charged my sun direct smart card with Rs. 150 on[protected]. I requested at sun direct customer care, not to deduct any amount from my account as I am not using the services of Sun Direct. (Customer care Executive refused, he said sir we can not help you in this regard.)


I have to finally get agreed to take new connection of Rs. 1250 as suggested by the technical Inspector of Sun Direct after surrendering my old set Top Box, Remote and Smart card. Set Top Box being handed Over to the technical Inspector.

This is an example of very poor customer care Service, No action taken by the nodal officer Delhi.

If possible kindly take necessary actions in this regard.

I am fed up with the services of sun direct .kindly take appropriate action in the matter with penalty for deficient service and for compensation with correcting of the defect. I have spent atleast Rs. 300 with frusration in phoning and emailing Sun Direct.

I am sun direct customer .. My Smart card number is [protected] For las one month, whenever rains i am not getting the picture clearly. On top of many times talking to the customer care no body is ready to give the proper response. Only word they know is sorry for the inconvienece, still now it is not rectified. whenever we calls up they used to tell us within one hour u will get the calll.. waiting for that is completly waste. Still now i have spoke to Venu, Avvinash, Rahul, Pradeep, Ramya, Srilatha, Dhilip & sandeepna and many people. Even i asked the procedure to close the Connection. They are not guiding us. whenever we call just telling top up and top up.. what is the use of toping up...just for the instrument. On talking to them my husband got irritated and yesterday his BP got suiten up. Kindly somebody help either i get a clear picture or droping the connection.
