[Resolved]  Tamilnadu Electricity Board — EB Assessment is not done

Dear Sir/Madam,
I'm a resident of Pallikaranai,Chennai-600100. I'm writing this complaint against TNEB(Electricity board - PALLIKARANAI Circle Office) with the consideration of public welfare.
COMPLAINT : EB ASSESSMENTS WERE NOT TAKEN
Our EB Consumer Service Number is[protected]. For my convenience, I'was paying EB bills through online till month of DEC-2010. After this period, EB assessments were not taken and bills were not generated within the stipulated time frame. Because of this issue, I paid 500/- RS as advance in FEB-2011 inconveniently. Due to lack of duty conscious of concerned EB local circle officials, many consumers like me are facing difficulties to pay the EB bills on time. Regarding this, I wrote a complaint in TNEB official website and what i got a feedback/response from them is not even making sense.Nothing is there in their feedback/response and simply saying like "Pls. contact EB local circle office". TNEB must understand one thing that is, the internet mode of bill payment has been introduced for the convenience of consumers but because of their local circle officials irresponsibility consumers like me many people are unable to pay the bills within stipulated time and unnecessarily we've been indirectly forced to walk to EB office to pay/enquire about monthly biils. Kindly I request TNEB higher officials/Concerned dept. officers to take necessary action against this public issue by considering public welfare.Thank you!

I am also facing the same issue. For the past 4 months reading is not accessed. This time I did not paid the amount too. This will be an issue during the payment, because the reading is added every bi-month and the amount per unit will exceed.

I am also facing the same issue. For the Past 6 months including current month reading is not accessed. While Enquiring in the EB office, If meter reading not accessed, You can note down the meter reading and inform the same to EB office for upadting in the System. It is the duty of the conusmer to inform the EB office every time. Becuase of non assessed I had paid penalty for 2 payment months. This month also till today EB reading not taken, Today, I went to EB office at ( Pudur Banu Nagar) and inform the closing readint to EB office and update the entry in the Card / System. Due to Non assessment whether consumer has to be penalised. Asst. Engineer of the Unit also not taken any decision for any alternate arrangments rather than informing the conusumer for sel[censored]pdation.

Even I am facing the same problem, when I logged in to TNEB site to make payment. I am getting an error message stating "Your previous assessment was not done, please contact your TNEB office section", I am feeling annoyed. Paying utilities bills through online is a Hassle free, but with this kind of service is too much hassle.

Moreover when I approach the office in person, the kind of customer service is too worst No words to describe such a horrible service. The officer said we can't accept cash you have to pay through DD :( I don't understand are we in 2012 or 1960!!!

I don't understand why they have an option called Complaints / Feedback, when nobody reads through customer complaints, rather an automated reply stating please contact your nearest TNEB section.

Someone should look in to these kinds of problems.
The pallikaranai EB office is very worst and the Staffs are behaving badly.
1. Staffs never taking the reading form home .
2. When we asked to the staff about the reading they are behaving badly and not answering.
3. Daily long queue at pallikaranai EB office (They are coming late and closing the counter soon they never care about the queue)
I am also facing the same issue, I am staying in Polachery and this problem started reflecting.
we are forcefully need to go TNEB office, Paying utilities bills through online is a Hassle free, but with this kind of service is too much hassles to the public and don't know then why the online use.

Power cut issue

Weekly 3 days no power in Choolaimedu, south gangai amman koil Street, Chennai - 94...That three days night will sleep 2 o clock... Then how to go next day work... Today also power cut we are not sleeping... Very worst services given TNEB...
