Tata Docomo — Product of the year from BIG CHEATERS

Hello,

I purchased a samsung product and got a voucher of tata photon 10GB free offer for 3 months.
So, I purchased tata photon device on 11th Dec 2010. I had to take Rs 750/month plan to use the 10GB free usage option. So, I took Rs 750/month plan.

My photon number is [protected].

I received a bill in january and I did not see any details about
- how much I have used out of 10GB
- how much is remaining
- till when it is valid

I sent a mail to customer care asking these details, but no response.
I called up customer care many times and I was told that there is no system to maintain these free usage details and we have to manually calculate every month from the bill to know how much is used and how much is remaining out of 10 GB (pathetic, no system in place for maintaining this even though they give such offers !!!)

I again called up customer care later and I was told that I can use 10GB till 3 months or till 11th March along with 2GB free every month (my plan is 2GB - Rs 750),
So, in 3 months, I can use 10+2+2+2 = 16 GB.

I used it for 2 more months and in March, my connection was BLOCKED for excess usage than my credit limit !!!
When called up, I was told that my 10 GB free usage will be calculated only at the end of billing cycle and hence usage was shown as exceeding the limit. I was made to pay Rs 2000 to re-activate it and was told that it will be discounted when the bill gets generated (STRANGE again).

When I got my latest bill (2nd April), it gave me a SHOCK, as the 10GB free usage was not considered at all and I was billed for my total usage (just excluding 2GB free as per my rate plan).

So, my current bill is Rs 3664 (out of which I have paid 2000 hoping to get it adjusted) without considering the 10GB free usage.

In the last 3 months, I have called up customer care plenty of times, mailed them plenty of times, for details on my usage. But, none of them know the correct details of how this free usage works. Everyone has their own stories.

Some tell me that I can use 10 GB in a single day or with in 90 days (3 months) when ever I want.
Some tell me that 10GB is prorated for 3 months with 3300+ MB free usage per month.

But now, when I called up customer care after getting the huge bill, the customer care guys told me that 10GB free period was completed in February itself as it was for 3 billing cycles (December, January and February) and not for 3 months !!!! Even thought I got my connection on 11th Dec, I was considered to have used 1 month out of 3 months free usage of 10 GB (Strange again !!!!)

So, I am now charged heavily for the usage which was supposed to be free !

Inspite of being cautious, I am now in helpless condition because of lack of correct information in the bills and because of wrong information given by the customer care guys.
And because of trusting the tata group and buying Tata Photon.

This is pure cheating and I don't deserve to be fooled like this !!!

i agree with you the people of tata photon group are only a bunch of thugs and they can only be stopped from fooling others by mass campaign .you should immediately sue them in consumer court and publish it in the paper on your own responsibility
I have been trying helplessly in getting this resolved, every time the customer care guys listen to my complaint and pause the call saying they will verify, but the call gets DISCONNECTED ... EVERY TIME ... they will not even call back even though they have my number registered. I have to again call up and tell the whole story to a new person ...

No body called me from customer care after this compliant ... why can' t they call again if Im not reachable ... if we don't pay the bill on time, they will call so many times .. why not when I have a complaint ???

I don't really know how to deal with this ...
If you search on web, there are many people with lots of problems with TATA services.
Is there a consumer court which really help people like us ???

i got my problem resolved only after 1 month of serious following up them in their office and finally scolding them and threatening them in their office itself for legal and social actions
