[Resolved]  Tata DoCoMo / GSM Prepaid — Incorrect address in records of my TATA DOCOMO Account - [protected]

Hello Sir.
I am Sandeep Kumar, a TATA DOCOMO GSM PREPAID customer with mobile no. [protected], purchased about a year back with providing the address proof (Sandeep Kumar, # 11A, 3rd A Cross, Seethappa Layout, Mannorayanapalya, R.T.Nagar Post, Bangalore – 32) and also I am residing at the same address.

I had logged in to the Tata Docomo Online Account (http://www.tatatele.in/myaccountgsm/index.jsp) But i was surprised to see that my address has been wrongly mentioned for which in no way I am responsible. It is showing as “Gopalapura, Bangalore, Bangalore, Blr, Karnataka-560001” which is not my address at all (it does not even show any sense of address) and I have never given this address when I purchased the Tata Docomo GSM SIM [protected]. But don’t know were it has went wrong.

On[protected], regarding this, from my email id ([protected]@yahoo.com) I had complained to Tata Docomo’s online customer care service “[protected]@tatadocomo.com” to solve the issue. The same day they replied via mail and requested me to “resubmit” my documents at the nearest TATA DOCOMO outlet.

As per their request, on[protected], I resubmitted my documents with the address (Sandeep Kumar, # 11A, 3rd A Cross, Seethappa Layout, Mannorayanapalya, R.T.Nagar Post, Bangalore – 32) along with my Address Proof (Driving Licence No. KA09/529/2002) at Tata Docomo Outlet, Padmavathi Agencies, Banasawadi Main Road, Maruthi Seva Nagar, Bangalore.

After resubmitting my documents, the same day, I mailed them with the scanned attachments of the acknowledgements given by Tata Docomo Outlet, Padmavathi Agencies, Banasawadi Main Road, M.S.Nagar, Bangalore, and told them to consider the address that has been given as the proof and sort out the issue.

On[protected], an online customer care executive mailed me and requested me to bear with them, as it would take 72 hours to get updated my name and address in the records.

Today it is[protected] and yet the issue is not solved. Still an unknown address is reflecting in Tata Docomo Online account (http://www.tatatele.in/myaccountgsm/index.jsp.) I have done my responsibility without fail and I am not a stupid to do it. I just want it to be transparent. But I am not able to understand why the name and address has not yet been corrected in their records. Why are they neglecting such an “important and sensitive” issue? Are they really concerned?

Hence I kindly request that my address to be corrected in all the records of Tata Docomo account of my mobile number [protected], and sort out the issue immediately.

With reference to my above complaint, i received a feed back from an online customer care executive on[protected] at 04:07 P.M. and has requested to coordinate with the retailer to whom I have submitted the documents so that retailer can forward my documents to the TATA DOCOMO dealer.

On[protected] they had told me to resubmit my documents to the TATA DOCOMO Outlet. I did it on[protected] as they said, travelling 10 kms. away from my home. They are saying that they have already forwarded my documents.

ARE ALL THESE GUYS KIDDING? WHAT IS THE GUARANTEE THAT THE SAME MISTAKE DOESN’T REPEAT?
I BELIEVE TATA DOCOMO OUTLET IS A HIGHER OFFICE THAN ANY OF THE RETAILER.

What about the documents that i have submitted when purchasing the SIM (That retailer is 17 kms. away from my home). What about the documents that I have resubmitted travelling 10kms. away from my home on[protected]? Does those documents submitted, have no value? Are that been misused? Do they think I dont have any better work to do? I have done enough. I just wanted to be TRANSPARENT. I feel I am been punished for that.

If the concerned person of TATA DOCOMO is not yet satisfied to solve the isssue, I kindly request them to send one responsible Executive personally from TATA DOCOMO to my residing address (Sandeep Kumar, No 11A, 3rd 'A" Cross, Seethappa Layout, Mannarayanapalya, R.T. Nagar Post, Bangalore - 32), “verify” and “collect” all the records (and also acknowledge the same) that are required to solve the issue. Let that executive make sure, that he calls me to my mobile number [protected], before coming.
I am not able to understand what's happening?
Why are they not responding? Isn't anyone from TATA DOCOMO concerned with this issue?
Have they turned blind? Are they doing it purposefully? What is their intention?
I have the same problem with my mobile number [protected]. I have resubmitted my documents and you people say you need 15 days to update a mistake from your side! For your information, both my name and address has been update wrong in the tata docomo website. Really scary. Retailers are creating havoc and Docomo does not care. I resubmitted my at the bangalore koramangala office, my application #[protected]. horrible situation to be in, identity theft!!!.
Now my issue is solved (still slight spelling mistakes in my address, due to the customer care executives typing problem).

With reference to all the above documents i provided and all the above communications, and also after many communication with the TATA DOCOMO Customer care executives, I thought my problem regarding address issue was solved, as the mistake done by them in my address in TATA DOCOMO online website "http://www.tatadocomo.com/myaccount.aspx" was corrected by them to "Sandeep Kumar, # 11A, 3rd A Cross, Seethappa Layout, Mannorayanapalya, R.T.Nagar Post, Bangalore – 32" (as per the documents I had provided).

If they had any issues even after that, on[protected] I had requested them to kindly send one responsible Executive personally from TATA DOCOMO to my residing address (Sandeep Kumar, No 11A, 3rd 'A" Cross, Seethappa Layout, Mannarayanapalya, R.T. Nagar Post, Bangalore - 32), “verify” and “collect” all the records (and also acknowledge the same) that are required to solve the issue.

But to a great surprise, on[protected] morning, I received a message from TATA DOCOMO that "Hi, documents provided for ur TATA DOCOMO connection are incorrect. Pls visit any of our showrooms & submit valid documents to avoid disconnections of services".

I am not able to understand why TATA DOCOMO is giving such a trouble to a customer. While I have provided the Xerox copy of my Driving License that has been issued by the Department that belongs to Government of Karnataka, and is widely accepted, how can TATA DOCOMO blindly say that the documents provided by me is incorrect and asking me to resubmit my documents again? What type of documents they want? Why should I "RESUBMIT AGAIN"?


I want TATA DOCOMO to stop giving unnecessary trouble to me and stop threatening me of disconnecting the services of my mobile number [protected].
