Tata Docomo — Cheating and fraudulent practices on Tariffs by TATA DoCoMo

I Dinnath E. P. took a Tata DoCoMo mobile connection (N0. [protected])
on 9thSeptember 2010 from a retail store at Kunhipally, Vadakara, Calicut Dist.
Kerala. When I took the connection they told me the Tariff is 1ps/1 Sec
without recharging with any bonus cards. But recently I’ve been noticed
that they are reducing more money from my account than the normal charge of
1ps/Sec. Subsequently I contacted their customer care (121) on 20/10/2010,
0:30 am to register my complaint. The executive who took my call was *Mr.
Sunil Kumar. *After hearing my problem he said I am assigned in another plan
which is 40ps/Minute plan to anywhere in India. When I asked to revert it to
normal plan, he bluntly refused and uttered some technical jargons like FRC
etc (was all Greek and Latin to me) due to which I can’t change the plan.
And he insulted me for my ignorance and disconnected the phone suddenly.


I called again and this time, after hearing my problem, the executive who
took the phone escalated the call to his superior, one *Mr. Ajeesh*. He
explained to me that because I’ve recharged with Rs.29 for the first time
for a special offer of 40Ps/Minute plan, my base plan is this only and I
cannot revert back to normal plan. But I haven’t done any special recharge
of Rs. 29 at the time of purchase. Moreover I bought the SIM card for Rs. 20
only. I don’t think the retail store will recharge me for more than what I
paid. I try to reason with your CSR head Ajeesh and asked me to revert to
normal plan. But he refused point blank and said if you register once in the
FRC you cannot revert back.

I strongly believe that they are doing it intentionally by changing the base
Because the customers have no control whatsoever in the SIM card activation and initial plan selection process. I opted Tata DoCoMo only because they are giving a 1ps/Sec pulse without any bonus cards. In fact they are cheating every new Tata DoCoMo customer by doing this. By putting us in the 40ps/Minute plan, instead of the normal 1Ps/Sec plan they are robbing us in daylight. And they tells us they are only charging 0.66 Ps. That’s crap. In fact they are charging more money (call setup charges etc) from the customers like us who use less than 1 minute calls frequently and who don’t use STD at all. People never know how they are being charged unless they try to match their every call durations with actual call costs. But like me, most people rarely do that. And they are using our ignorance to fool and cheat us. I never expected anything like this from a prestigious group like TATA.
