[Resolved]  Tata Docomo — Activation problem despite all available documents and restoration of balance

Dear Sirs,

On 20.12.2011, I purchased a Docomo SIM no. [protected] from M/S Kalpana Associates, next to M/S Das Glass Company, Grand Road, PO/ Dist- Puri (Orissa)
Pin- 752001, submitting all documents demanded by them, such as, photocopies of my PAN and SBI Pass Book. In fact, I had taken some more documents like, Gas Book, Adhar Card, but they termed all these as useless and accepted only the PAN & the PB. Incidentally, the franchise owner and his employee demanded only SBI Pass Book as no other pass book was acceptable to them and fortunately, myself being an ex-executive of SBI I had SBI Pass Book of Badasankha Branch, code 06944, my pension paying branch.

After close scrutiny by an employee, Mr. Bibhu by name of documents submitted by me and on payment of Rs30/-, one receipt was issued to me with much reluctance along with the SIM.

Things went on smoothly for three/ four days when I received repeated messages urging me to submit documents. Despite all my prefixed appointments and commitments, I had to visit the SIM issuing centre to know the purport of the message. Mr. Bibhu told me that, as my application was rejected by their Bhubaneswar authorities, I should submit one fresh application with fresh enclosures.

I never said no, but wanted my old application and documents back before submitting a fresh set. But, Mr. Bibhu told me that the rejected applications were never returned. However, he told me to come the next day with the required documents after my repeated insistence.

To my good luck, Mr. Bibhu was ready with the old forms the next morning and the fresh set of documents was exchanged. I also charged Rs80/- worth of rechage vouchers which swelled the balance in the SIM to around Rs100/-.

A day after the recharge of the vouchers as above, I found to my utter amazement that my balance was cut down by Rs80/- without mysel[censored]sing the SIM any further. Similar messages urging me to submit documents started coming which bothers me now even after ten days of resubmission and re-verification of documents. The SIM is now as good as dead with no balance to support my call and I have not been courageous enough to recharge it with more value based on my ongoing experience.

Hope my woes would be redressed.
