[Resolved] Tata Docomo — Rude Customer Service at Outlet | |
Hi, My father has a prepaid Tata Docomo connection and was requesting a duplicate SIM card in lieu of lost SIM. The customer care on phone had confirmed that an FIR was not needed. However, the representative at the outlet was adamant that it would be needed. When I asked him that the customer care did not say it was required, he rudely replied that then I should get the duplicate SIM from the Customer Care who told me so. Not only that, he told me that Duplicate SIM is issued ONLY if I agree to convert the number to a postpaid connection. SInce this was obviously ridiculous, I asked him if he was willing to give this statement in writing to which he refused, raised his voice and said I could complaint to whoever I wanted but he will not issue a Prepaid Duplicate SIM under any circumstances. The outlet under question is Lake Town, Kolkata. Requesting authorities to look into the matter. Incidents such as this is not expected given the reputation of the Tata group.
