[Resolved] Tata Indicom — Duplicate sim card
I have lost my old sim based motorola handset with tata connections. After losing my set I contacted to the Tata True Value Hub at City Centre, Durgapur, West Bengal for locking the sim. They adviced me to lodge a FIR. The police station denied to make any FIR without the cash memo of the set. Unfortunately the cash memo also misplaced somewhere. Then again I contacted to Hub, they call me to their Hub with id proof. I went with my voter identity card thinking it, that they will lock the sim after I produce the id proof. When I reached there a lady personnel verified my id proof and checking the records from their on line documents, found everything were o.k. Then I told her, you have checked everything now kindly lock the sim. But to my utter surprise she replied me, "no we cannot lock the sim without a Copy of FIR". If you are unable to lock the sim without FIR, then why did you asked me at your office, which is far away from my house, with id proof. Finding no other way, I went to the shop, where from I purchased my hand set, and got a duplicate bill. With the duplicate bill I registered a FIR in local polce station and got the old sim locked after almost a day I lost the set. Now I have another Tata handset in which I would like to have the old sim no. for which I already express my willingness to them, but they are somehow avoiding me by saying that at present they dont have any blank sim. In the old sim inspite of having a fair amount of balance I could not using the same. Their intension is clear like crystal, that you forget about the old sim and purchase a new one. Why this company harrasing a customer who is using the mobile with tata connection for last three years. Now I am feeling very much disgusted with the Tata people and thinking to opt some other connection.
