[Resolved]  TATA Mastercard — repeated deficiency in services

Tata-SBI card is a big SCAM - Unreliable and untrustworthy - a disgrace to the House of TATAS
I was conned into applying for a free card when i made purchases from Croma, Ghodbunder Road in jan 2011.
My biggest embarrassment was when my card was declined at Taj Chennai even when my payments were made on time. I was checking out fromthe Hotel at 5am to take early morning flight. My colleague came to my rescue and made the payment from his card. All this happened at the Front office in the presence of other guests.
When I call up customer care at around 9 am i was told that the card was declined due to technical error. The customer care executive repeats the parrot like chorus "I am so sorry for that".
They charge a fee of Rs. 90/- for a cheque collection request.

I made a request for blocking my card on 23rd March, 2011 as i had lost my card. I simultaneously made a request for re-issuing the card. I was promised that I will get in in 7 working days. Till date I have not received my card.

On 12th April, 2011 on my follow up I am told that the card was not reissued due to technical problems. I am promised that I will get it in next 7 working days.

On 22nd April, on my follow up call I am told that i will be getting my card today i.e. 22nd April, 2011. When I ask for the despatch date, I am kept on hold for a long time and the customer care executive states that due to technical problems my card has not been despatched...i will receive it in 10 working days.

When I request to be connected to the supervisor, I am told that he is busy and will call be back within next 48 hours. They seem to be more busy than the prime minister of India.

SBI TATA cards seem to have perennial technical problems. They do not care for their customers and their needs.

Will SBI TATA compensate me for the embarassment due to my card getting declined at Taj Chennai in front of other guests?????

Since when did SBI TATA decide to get rich by cheating and fleecing innocent customers who trust the TATA brand name.

The SBI TATA card is fit to be used as toilet paper and nothing else.
