[Resolved]  Taxi Driver — Overcharging and abusing my child

My son hired a taxi No MH 03 4603 from Ruparel College to Linking Road, but when he reached the destination the taxi driver demanded Rs 75/- . After telling the taxi diver that he travels daily and the fare is normally between Rs 40 to Rs 45/- maximum even in peak hours traffic, the taxi driver began hurling abuses and insisted on taking the amount of Rs 75/-.
This is the reason our country has gone to the dogs and no one reports such incidents, and taxi and auto drivers hold passangers at ramsom..

I hope you take action against this taxi driver with note addressed to me, as to what action has been taken against this driver.

In anticipation

Public Transportation - TAXI — Overcharging

I've been fleeced by taxi no MH01 AM 6631 by overcharging me today morning. This was one of the new santro taxis with the electronic meters. I

daily travel from Bandra East Highway to my office in Fort at around 8.30 in the morning ang go via my fixed route via tulsi pipe road and JJ flyover. On a daily basis it costs me around Rs 190-195 depending on the traffic at dadar.

Today also i'd taken the same route and didnt face any traffic. However on my reaching office his meter showed Rs 194 which as per the new tariff rate would cost me around Rs 216. i was alarmed by this as i dont pay more than 190-195 on a daily basis. On complaining the same, he said that there was no fault in his meter. When I threatened him to complain against authorities, he took Rs 200 from me and left.

This is a case of clearly fleecing the customer by having a faulty meter, as he was well aware of the correct fare . Please take strict action against them.
