I received attached mail with job offer. I got suspicious about the intention of the mail, and subsequently escaped from the trap.


Attention: ARAVIND NILAKATARA SAHADEVA, RE: SUCCESS LETTER we refer to your earlier forwarded application for job engagement with relations to the Chevron Texaco Oil Project in Scotland UK with job reference number: CHEVRON TEXACO/AJV EJ8475V/SCT.

On the above subject matter, the Chevron Texaco Oil Project. Management hereby congratulates you on your successful emergence based on detailed recruitment by our official recruitment.

Also this is to inform you that we the Human Resources Department of Chevron Texaco have hereby acknowledged the receipt of your CV/RESUME. We have written to inform you that your response to the short online interview questions was found suitable for this project requirement.

You are hereby inform that you have been accepted/selected by Chevron Texaco UK to work as PROJECT ELECTRICAL ENGINEER, for the requirement of the Chevron Texaco Phase 2 Expansion of the Captain Area C Oil Field Project here in Scotland with a salary indication of £9.550 Great Britain Pounds Sterling (gbp) per month (After tax deduction).

The contract is a 24 months time contract, which can be renewable by employee if necessary. All relevant information/documentation for job position, appointment and contract documents is attached below for further employment processing.

You are to find the attached copy of your Appointment and Contract Agreement Letter as to enable you proceed further with your employment processing in due curse.

You are required to sign on the Contract Agreement Document, print it out scan it and send it to us via email attached if only you accept the Contract Terms and Condition, after which you are required to proceed further with the Frontier Immigration Consultant as soon as possible for the processing of your Work/Resident Permit Documents to enable you embark on journey to the UK legally before your work commencement date. (For Non UK Work/Resident Permit Document Holder)

JOB PROCEEDING/REQUIREMENT: You are to note that all employees successfully screened and recruited for the Chevron Texaco Phase 2 Expansion of the Captain Area C Oil Field Project here in Scotland. that are not presently possessing a valid UK Residence and Work Permits Clearance Papers/Document, shall be expected to personally incur all expenses that are related to the processing, procurement and acquisition of all necessary work and resident permits clearance papers/document with the Frontier Immigration Consultant, as every expenses incur by you on the processing of your immigration/travel documents shall be duly reimbursed to you, after submission of employee’s expense report and receipts to us for proper verification.

You shall be required to furnish us with your valid UK residence and work permits papers on or before 31st, October, 2008 as a proof of readiness to join the Chevron Texaco Phase 2 Expansion of the Captain Area C Oil Field Project in the due time as stipulated above for your job resumption with the Chevron Texaco. and also to enable you receive your upfront salary including your due entitlements/emoluments prior to your departure for services with the Chevron Texaco UK.

However, for expatriate services employees who do not presently posses their valid UK residence and Work Permits papers, they are to make contact with the address given below for directives and assistance on the acquisition and procurement of their valid residence and work permits papers with the Frontier Immigration Services here in UK.

The contact details of the Frontier Immigration Consultant is listed below, you will have to contact them immediately for the procuring of your immigration documents to enable you embark on journey to the UK legally.

Note: You have to write a letter of application to the Frontier Immigration Consultant here in the UK for the processing of your Immigration Documents such as Work/Resident Permits Documents and other supporting Immigration Documents before your job commencement period.

Note: You have to forward your signed Contract Agreement/Appointment Letter, Scan page of your International Passport to the British Immigration Consultant for confirmation that your reputable company Chevron Texaco employed you, As to enable them proceed further with the processing of your immigration documents which will be sent to your home contact address via DHL or any recognized courier services. Important notice: you are to note that the processing of your immigration documents will need to be processed by you through the office of the Frontier immigration consultant whose contact details is given above, as they are to help you with the processing of your immigration documents, also, you are to note that every expenses incurred by you on the processing of your immigration documents will be duly reimbursed to you by Chevron Texaco.
Finally you are to note that your upfront salary can not be deducted or be used in the processing of your immigration documents, as this is the rules and regulation made available by Chevron Texaco.

You are to note that as stated in the employment document, you can only be reimbursed after you have completed the immigration processes and submit the expenses report to us for your reimbursement and payment of your upfront salary.

The reason for this personal processing of immigration documents by employee is, in the past after processing the documents for some employee they don't show up for job duty, where by incurring cost for the company. We therefore advice you to carry on every due processing with the immigration consultant for the procurement of your immigration document.

I have read all the postings regarding the Job Offer with TEXACO Gas and Oil, but I have not seen any answers to these questions..

I also received the same Job Offer and the same details as those posted here. But I what I don't see in these stories previously is how all this has started with them.

Any ways, anyone hers who tried to purse on the risk of getting to the next level? Kindly share your experience with me.
