Titan — defective watch

Address:Bangalore, Karnataka

I have purchased Octan K622 on 27th Dec, 2011
DOC NO:[protected]
variant number: 9187SH02
Loyalty No:[protected]

I have presented this watch (as a birthday gift for my brother) but, identified the strap chain has one pin missing and small scratch is present on it which appeared to be some abnormal scratch and looks manufacturing defect.
When yesterday, we visited the shop to have this fixed/replaced, they started behaving badly and started blaming on us and declined to address the issue.

I swear not to trust Titan watches from now. I wish I could sue that shop owner.

I will have to shell out few bucks to fix the watch on some another Titan service centre otherwise will get it fixed from some other vendors/service comps. Which is of less concern for me. But, it will surely tarnish the image and brand called Titan.

I recently bought a watch from the World Of Titan exclusive showroom in Nagpur which was worth Rs.2500/-. However after wearing it for a DAY the rotating knob(on the side of the watch) was jammed and it wouldn't move at all! On returning it to the showroom i was told that i will have to spend another Rs1600/- on it to get an entire new machine.
they are also accusing me for the damage when i certainly have nothing to do with it. In fact before my purchase i had also requested them for another watch as i was given the same one used for the display. However since the same watch of the same colour was not available at that time( they had another colour) i was forced to take the watch offered to me.
The salesman there also told me that he would talk to the executive officer and let me know what can be done but its been almost a month and there has been no response from them..
Since i had bought the watch for my exams ( bought it just a day before my exams started) i had to give three papers without a watch and i also couldn't finish my papers on time
more so they are not considering the warranty either as they(Titan) conveniently say that it isn't a manufacturing defect!
Now i wonder what is the use of buying a watch for 2500/- rupees and spending another 1600/- rupees only a day after you wear it....
However IRONIC its apt to say "TIME sure is MONEY" !!
please help...
