[Resolved]  TMT Bus Route. — MULUND/PAWAR NAGAR ROUTE

On behalf of all the commuters, I wish to bring to your notice certain facts about the Mulund/Pawar Nagar TMT bus route which needs to be attended at the earliest.

1. Location of the starting bus stop at Mulund West near the station is just in front of the public toilet.
2. During the peak hours the frequency of the bus is frugal and the awful stench is making it impossible for us to wait at the stop indefinitely.
3. Tickets are issued to the commuters in the queue itself thereby leaving no option for the commuters to travel by sharing auto.
4. Even after the bus is packed the bus doesn’t leave the stop at the stipulated time.
5. The conductor when questioned puts the onus on the starter saying that they can take charge of the bus only at the will and pleasure of the starter and advices us to voice our grievances with the starter.
6. This clearly means that the starter is the one who plays mischief by not leaving the buses at the stipulated time.
7. Putting up with all the inconvenience the bus is driven at a snail space and the time taken is more than 2 hours where it should not take more than 45 minutes.
8. The driver simply doesn’t budge even with the yelling of the commuters and continues driving slowly deliberately for reasons best known to him and allows all the other vehicles to overtake him as if he is taking us for a special Thane Darshan tour.
9. Regular commuters traveling in this route are inconvenienced by this deliberate delay, especially women returning home after work to face a whole lot of household work.
10. The bus drivers and the conductors are extremely arrogant and they don’t even have a complaint box.
The commuters of this route wish to have an explanation for this callous attitude and the step motherly treatment by the TMT. Will it not be possible to run at least a few buses through the highway instead of the normal route, especially for people traveling to Vasant Vihar/Pawar Nagar? Or else I would request the TMT to handover this route to the BEST as they seem to be incapable and grossly inefficient in handling the service.

Kindly look into the matter at the earliest and save us of the daily ordeal.
