Torrent Power Ltd, is creating problems to the general public, I am one of among them.This company is forcefully installing meters which are running very fast as compared with the old ones.first of all I was afraid to write you but ,thought if you will not listen us who else one listen middle class peoples like me.
I am Sudhir Kulshreshtha advocate,now the customer of Torrent Power Ltd ,Agra under Service No.178819 LMV1C, At 35,K.K. Nagar. Sikandra,Agra. My meter was changed by the officer of the company Mr. Gagan Kumar, EEO287 on 22/09/2010 at 4.00 Pm, Meter No.T26503222 GENUS.This meter is defective and running very very fast or there may be some technical problem.
On 22/09/2010 the reading was 000 in the new changed meter ,at the time of installation which , in my opinion is not correct as there must me some reading of laboratory test in the meter at the time of installation which has not been mentioned my that officer at the time of issuing the sealing certificate No.101309.
On 03/10/2010, meter reader of the company came and told me that the meter is running very fast and is defective in his opinion due to some parameters he checked at the time for taking the reading.The reading he told me was 7313 Kwh only in 10-11 days. In the presence of the meter reader this meter gave7320 reading in only five minutes without any load.
I made a complaint to the company and they advised me to make a payment of meter testing fee . I deposited a sum of Rs.50 (Rs Fifty) for meter testing. Wide their Receipt No.0948692 dated 5/10/2010 Meter Testing Application No.10/MTL/402389 Service Connection No.178819

On[protected] the meter testing team came to the site and checked the meter and the connected Load and they gave their report that the meter was running properly and they have taken the MRI data from the meter and further cause of action should be taken as per that report.
Meter testing team has tested the meter and given the report for that moment only when they checked the meter.How it is possible
That meter give the cumulative MD kw,Current month MD kw,as 43.24 and Cumulative MD Kva and current Month MD Kva as 43.28.
Please note that this is the domestic connection of 5 Kw. And checking team has checked and verified the total connected load as 3760 total wattage they have mentioned in the meter testing report.
In any case this is not possible to consume 7313 units only in 10 days in a domestic connection of 5 KW.
The company send me an e-mail stating that meter is running properly and no further action is required in this regard.
I humbly pray that my defective meter should be replaced with the properly working meter.
My bill should be made according to my earlier usages as per the the last meter.
Instruct the company to behave properly as their customer care centers misbehave a lot with the customers.
Meter testing fee should be refunded as this not our fault that the meter of the company is not working properly.
