Traffic Police — Traffic Police

Today (2nd July) arnd 1.30 PM, I was travelling from Chekpauk towards Mount road, When I have reached the junction, road connecting mount road - chepauk, (i think its Wallajah road) I found there were 2 ways of taking left turn, as there was a subway in between.one is, to pass through the signal and the other via a small road avoiding that signal.There starts the story.I took the IInd route as it was free without noticing the NO ENTRY board, which was not visible to me.By following the other vehicles, I drove into that direction and caught by the policemen with others too.As soon I was caught, I hav accepted my mistake and got ready to pay the fine.By that time, I hav noticed some of them going in the same direction without being caught, some were telling lame excuses and left alone by the police. Why this double treatment?one more interesting thing is that, one of the policeman was speaking in his walky talky "hey ennappa ippdi irundha yepdi case pudikardhu".
Later I have realised that, theres no point in arguing as i made a mistake and paid the penalty.He has collected Rs.100/- where the penalty sheet showed only Rs.50/- for No entry.I then went to the area where the No entry board was kept and suggested them to move the board and place it in the area where it is more visible.They have said its not visible only to me and its perfectly placed.
To be honest, today (as far as i know) there would be a huge amount of collection to the government especially in that area, Where more number of vehicles have got caught without noticing the board.
I was totally disappointed, as I am one of those who obey laws properly.This is my first time fine I have paid in my lifetime.

I totally agree that I have done a mistake and my suggestion is to place the sign boards in a proper manner and place which is visible to everyone.

Hyderabad Traffic Police are taking advantage of the authorities that they are given.Before doing that, they should think of whether they are correct wrt to discharging their duties.They are given cameras to take snaps of only those who disobey the traffic rules and not to touch their monthly target cases or try some photography. This is one means of revenue that the government is trying to earn from innocent public.Every traffic police has got a set target wherein he has to find some x number of cases/month.That is why you find them catching public in the start and end of the month.Nobody cares in the mid of the month. This is really very bad.Especially, police near Sangeeth X roads are really horrible.They have charged me Rs.1000 for signal jump cases ten times when I have done it one time.This is really unfair.Can anybody jump the signal regularly for 10 times in a month ? Being a lady driver, why would I drive rash and there is no need for me to jump the signal so many times.It might have happened by mistake only once.Terrible government.This corruption will never come to an end !
