March '08 motor bike was purchased. Soon the engine developed additional sound while accelerating in second gear. Mileage (KPL) remained below 50 which further went down after 3rd servicing, which has not been improved after 4th servicing. Still the vehicle is having above said problems in addition it is getting cut off at slower speed and while starting accelerator has to be given. TVS Flame — Poor performance
I bought TVS Flame in 2008. Since then I'm facing troubles with it. I got all my services till date done from authorized TVS service stations but till now I've not got satisfied with the performance of the bike.At time of purchase, I was told that this bike will definitely run 60-65kms/l, but the maximum average that it gave is 50km/l. Also right from the first service I complained about the below problems:
-Bubbling in the rear wheel.
-Engine knocking sound.
-Vibration
but none of the problems got resolved.
I bought the bike from Surya TVS (Jhilmil Industrial area) and got all my free services and a couple of paid services done from them till the time they shut their company. My bike was in warranty and apparently they changed some part in my engine too for which they kept the bike with them for more than 1 week.
Then after Surya TVS got shut, I moved to GK TVS(Patparganj Industrial area) for servicing and their I contacted the regional manager Delhi services with my complaints and he said that he will change some engine part with Flame SR, which they did but still none of the above problems got resolved.
Then I moved to GS TVS(GT road, Ghaziabad) for servicing. In their 1st service they did appreciating job, but soon I started having the same problems and my bike's head started leaking as well for which I went to them again complaining for which they tried to resolve but for bike's head problem, they told me that they will do it in the next servicing. I went their for the next servicing, left my bike and went back. I was told to come to receive the bike by 4pm, whereas I reached there at 3pm and enquired about my bike for which they told that the servicing has been done. They washed the bike and returned it back to me. After riding I found it the same as I delivered it to them, but due to lack of time couldn't go back.
Then I started facing battery problem for which they said that battery needs to be changed. They changed the battery 4 times as each time the battery was not working. then they exchanged my new battery with their old one for testing but again faced the same problem. Then they changed the coil, then next time they changed the regulator and then kept the bike with them for 15 days to check and then told that they changed the TCI as well. Don't know they actually did it or not.
they delivered me the bike saying that it is running perfectly fine but when I rode it, I found that the chain set was damaged and the fuel gauge was not working which were working perfectly fine when I gave them the bike. Now my bike is not in a working condition because of the chain set.
I feel myself cheated for buying this bike as it has been almost 3 years now and right from the 1st date till now I'm facing one or the other trouble. I'm really very disappointed and need a refund for my money.
