I had purchased a RUS unit of 150 to the name of my Daughter M S DHIVYA on 22nd DEC 1992 from UNIT TRUST OF INDIA and it is matured on 22/12/2010. Since I have not received any redemption letter from UTI ; I personally taken all the original documents to the TRIVANDRUM UTI Branch with my daughter for collecting the redemption amount with the incentive as mentioned in the BOND and separate incentive letter sent by UTI .
But surprisingly I got information from the concerned section that the scheme was closed prior to maturity with out any intimation or information to me and they are not ready to pay the assured maturity to us as offered im the bond and other documents?
Is it the way to cheat the investors by this large govt organization?
Kindly request to advice remedial action with interest for the holding period as the maturity period was completed 3 months back
