[Resolved] Wimco Ltd./ Homelites Matchbox — Packed less quantity in matchbox | |||
I had purchased 6 packets of matchboxes HOME LITES from m/s Chhabra bros., near Govt Sr. Sec. School, Nangal Township-140124(punjab) Ph.[protected] and found that the company (Mfd. by WimcoLtd, CB Ganj, Bareily-243502, subsidiary of ITC Ltd). has packed less quantity of sticks in matchboxes HOME LITES ,they have printed 40 sticks in each box but it contains only 25 to 35 only in 2-3 matchbox in the pack of 6 match boxes. I found less quantity from one year but ignored due to some sticks and small amount.One day surfing net i know that they have produced 432 crore match boxes per year. By putting less matchsticks in each pack they had looted Rs. 8,00,00,000/-(Eight Crore per year) from the public . I again purchased another ten packets of matchbox packets for checking of sticks and found same less quantity in it. This is big scam /loot with the consumers and unfair trade practice by the Wimco Ltd. with the peoples of india.so, I request the people dont purchase Wimco made Matchboxes J K Goyal Was this information helpful? | |||

I do agree with Mr.Goyal.Second point I want to stress is that the quality of match sticks are horrible.The head of match sticks are not completely rounded.
The quality of side of the box is not at all good.After striking some sticks it will not light at all.It is day time robbery.In the initial period it was good.Once the sales increased the quality is deteriorated.
I want solution and in this connection whom to approach?

Wimco Ltd./ Home Lites Matchbox, to the stick and the side firing material is very less, so that the stick will never gets fire, in compare with three mangoes box.
And also the no of sticks are always less. It is very bad.
Why we go for home lite. don't cheat us.

I m very sorry to say that i felt very very bad experience after using it for my Domestic usage purpose . The Quality of match box is very Bad ...It consist of 40 sticks in which only 2 or 3 was able to lite rest of them was waste as garbage.
I m very ashamed after feeling such a bad experience WITH REPUTED COMPANY LIKE YOURS.
Usage of bad material and carelessness is only the result of such circumstances.
ITS MY HUMBLE REQUEST TO YOU
1)Please look to the matter seriously and take necessary rapid action.
2)please try to maintain your quality and services

I've terrible experience with your matchsticks quality. I have observed some of you matchsticks while lighting throws away burning material. Couple of times it just missed me and today it just hit inside my left eye. This is very serious issue and I expect immediate response from your team. Please quarantine all the matchsticks in market and have quality check done. Tomorrow I'll be registering consumer complaint against your brand.

I also noticed less quantity of match sticks in their brand namely 'Ship' & 'Home lites'. But, unlike you, I have approached to the Consumer Court in the interest of general public at large. My case is still pending final adjudication before the Consumer Court. I am hoping for the best.
