Around July 2009, we purchased a completely cloth-upholstered, re-configurable sofa-seat that has 4 pieces and can seat 6. We were guaranteed of the high quality of the wood used in this piece. 3-4 months after using it, the foam in the back-rest pieces started to disfigure. The foam on the set tapered down so that one can only sit pointed down! I figured it was bad quality foam but at least the structure of the piece was fine. But 2-3 months later, the cloth beneath the sofa sagged down so much that it touched the floor. In other words, the wood base on the seat was not structurally stable. While I wondered what to do, the shop sent me an SMS saying they'r exchanging old furniture for new. I brought this piece for 38K. I visited the shop and they said they can buy back sofas for 10K but can give 5K more for their own products. I did not have the sales receipt but I had the 'valued customer card' that they sent me. I escalated the issue at the shop and they offered to send someone to service the sofa. The next day, out went the sofa and came back in a day. They claimed they had used better quality foam. When I opened the back-rest cover, they had merely wrapped the existing distorted foam with another sort-of lining foam. I decided to wait and see the results. The serviced sofa set went back to the old disfigured shape in 3 days!!! Since the furniture is a few days over 1 year old, the warranty has expired. Their exchange terms are ridiculous. So with 38000 Rupees wasted, I am stuck with a sofa that neither our house members nor guests use as anyone sitting on it gets a back pain in 2 minutes! I have no trust in the products they sell and will never recommend this place to anyone. I heard similar complains from another friend regarding one of their sofa sets as well.
