We bought a sofa on16.8.2022 from woodpecker fo rs - 147024, ecr chennai, which got torn within 4 months, we complained and got it repaired, it looks so bad and the stitches doesn't look neat which would come off soon and we want the sofa to be replaced, and moreover we are upset by their reply, they said the sofa had been used much and that's the reason it has got torn, I don't get what they mean by it,

      I bought a wooden sofa in the month of October 2021. The seater is pushing forward when I sit. After complaining it two months for them to visit my place. Atlast they put a knot to the cushion at the back which is really useless and awkward to see. The density of the cushion is vey less which brings cushion in front. I asked them to change the cushion because I am unable to put a cover for my cushion. I am really depressed because spending Rs 60, 000 and feeling unsatisfied about the project. Quick response is not given by the company. Please rectify my problem by changing the cushion.
      The knot at the back gives a shabby look

          We had purchased 2 chairs for Rs. 8500 from Woodpecker ECR road, Chennai. We choose the color and the model. The staff told us they would deliver on 18th Aug. On 18th Aug when we called we were told they dont have the same color and they offered different colors which we refused. Post that we were told that we had to wait for 45 days to get the chair. We wanted the money back but to our frustration they were just arguing about giving us alternative etc. Finally when i spoke to the manager he after much persuasion agreed to refund on 19th Aug. But again his team called in the evening and wanted to deliver the chairs. We wondered how did they get the chairs so fast and felt there was something fishy as we might be given the displayed chairs or damaged one. The staff and the manager were so rude and were not ready to refund. In frustration I had tell them to keep the furniture and the money and they have not even called or refunded the money. This is absolutely pathetic and i would discourage anyone from going to this shop. I'm not even sure if I will ever get back my money

          Thank you for responding the way you did. Clearly proves my point on how you would have spoken earlier to us. I would not want stoop low and respond. Clearly I have given what actually happened and what we felt earlier. Your response is clearly judgmental and shows your customer centricity.
          I just have a question whether it is possible to get a credit note for the amount so that we can go to another woodpecker shop to buy what we want. If no, we dont have a choice but to visit ECR woodpecker shop again. Hope you will confirm.

          We appreciate your decision. You can collect the Credit Note with the validity of three months
          and you can use the same in any of the Woodpecker Furniture showroom
          The customer visited our showroom on 15th August 2021

          They Booked two Easy Chair reference ECR/0450/21-22, and the customer wants delivery from the shop floor itself and wanted it to be carried by them.

          The showroom only had one chair of the same model on the spot. So, we requested the customer to give us some time so that we can arrange the stock from another location.

          On 18th Aug 2021 around 7.30 PM, we called the customer to confirm the delivery and the customer informed us the product can be delivered. The delivery person started the vehicle around 8.45 PM, immediately after the call. Then, the customer called and said they were no longer interested in the product since they have changed their mind.

          But, as per the T&C of Sales, we have explained to the customer at the time of booking that the placed order cannot be cancelled and the product is specially procured for her against their order. We have expressed our regret in this regard directly to the customer.

          As a special case, we had offered an option to the customer to pick any other product for the same or higher value so that we could provide a solution to the customer's problem.

          Let me clarify. The facts stated which are incorrect. Let me go one by one.
          Firstly on 18th Aug when they called at 7.30pm I had clearly checked with the person whether this was a new factory piece and she replied yes. So I had said ok. Post that they had called my wife again 9.10pm or so where they mentioned that these were display pieces which was cleaned and packed. This was contrary to the information given to me at 7.30pm. We had basically two questions - In the afternoon you didnt have the second piece and mentioned it would take 45 days suddenly after me escalating to manager the "new' piece is ready within few hours. Secondly why did you change your stance from 7.30pm to 9.10pm and say they are not fresh pieces but display ones. We have small kid at home and older parents and during the pandemic we were apprehensive to take the 'used' pieces. Also by this time the way my wife was spoken to was so bad that we also did not want to deal with them. Thirdly they had never offered an option to us to pick any other product for the same or higher value (infact my wife suggested that as they were hell bent on not refunding which was not answered). If that solution was offered we would have been ok yesterday itself. Nothing in "T&C of sales..." was mentioned. In fact the manager offered to refund today as mentioned in my initial complaint.           Also, we like to emphasize the fact that we DON’T SELL USED Furniture (second-hand furniture)

          The very fact, your wife agreed to pick up the display piece clearly shows that you were aware of the same

          Corona does not transmitted through furniture, and all our furniture are sanitized so there is no risk involved

          There was clearly a change of your mind at 7.30 PM which is why you were reluctant in accepting the product and now you were searching for excuses

          Our terms of sale are very clear and it is mentioned in the sales order you where signed, you can check the same

          However an exception as mentioned in your above message we are agreeable to change of the product of the same or higher value

          We would be Happy to serve you, looking forward to work with you for long term

            From the day it got delivered all the chair legs was very loose spme how we managed it for 2 months. . At one point of the time the leg went wide and the person who is sitting was about to fall. We are not happy with the product which they delivered by wood pecker.

            Kindly look in the issue and please arrange to send other set or refund the amount please.

            Very poor brand and materials are used that was the reson for damage please done cheat the customers by giving third rate products.

                    I am writing to you after useless multiple follow ups with your workers for a defective executive chair which I bought from your shop .I am ajay and I am a actor: model by profession. I am a privileged customer of your shop and I had bought multiple items more than 5 from hour shop in nelson manikam road. I am really unhappy about the quality of executive chair which I bought from ur shop on November 1, 2019. The handle covers are automatically coming out in both handles and needs to be replaced I guess . I didn’t expect such a poor customer response from ur workers especially Sindhu and gouff with whom I am asking for help for almost 2 weeks now . They are not just picking up call. Is this the way you respond to a customer who had purchased products from your shop for almost 1 lakh and is a regular customer . I request you to fix my defect at free of cost as I feel you guys sold to me a poor quality product . Please find numbers of your persons who didn’t help me out in this tough covid time

                      Dining table chair tear

                      I bought marble dining table with 6 chairs in November 2019. The chair junction areas are torn. I have registered complaint since April 2020. Very worst experience. Nobody reported for stitching it back as it's in warranty.

                            I had purchased furniture worth 118000 at nelson manickam road wood becker bra nch. A cash back of 96000 was given which i could redeem till january as told my the salesperson. Now when i approached the branch to redeem the cash back, mr. Goff says i can only available 20percent discount.. I would want you to look into the issue and do the needful

                              I bought woodpecker dining table two years back in a exhibition at pondicherry dated 25 september 2016 for the first time due to the decision of my family members. After eight months from the date of purchase this dining table has lost its attachment with two legs. I complained it through phone at that time. From till date no response.                               Dear Sir,

                              During my recent visit to Chennai I purchased 01 unit Woodpecker dining table form your Besant Nagar show Room on the 2nd September, 2018 as per attached Invoice for I.Rs. 40, 500/-. Payment made through American Express Credit Card. The sales person in charge of the show Room Ms. V. Sinduja promoted this product to me as Oakwood dining table from Woodpecker. The product was delivered to my Trichi residence and cost me I. Rs, 6600/- to transport to Trichi. The glass of the table received in broken condition.

                              I regret to inform that I am totally disappointed to inform you as I am being deceived on this product since when I examined the table at my residence on delivery, to my surprise it was not manufactured in Oakwood. All four legs of the table are made out of Plywood. A thick coat of putty has been applied to hide the Plywood. I am now back to Sri Lanka and have already brought this matter to the notice of Ms. Sinduja further I also sent her the pictures of this table by whatshapp. Some Vedio clips I attaché herewith for your attention.

                              I please request you to look into this matter and instruct your show room to take back this item and reimburse me the total cost of expenditure incurred to me on this product or give me a woodpecker table with Oakwood material.

                                We bought a 3seater recliner sofa & a single seat recliner on 21 june 2016 from their show room in velachery in chennai-600042 costing rs.90000. It was sold as pure leather on seating, back, hand rest& reclining portions & faux leather on non contact areas.
                                During december we noticed the head rest portion peeling like rexine.
                                We called customer service and registered complaint no:2564 on[protected].
                                They adamantly say pure leather will peel like rexine and refuse to attend or visit.
                                Also they will replace whole sofa furnishing with faux leather on chargeable basis of rs.18000.
                                We even asked them to replace only the damaged portion with leather material.
                                They refused saying only faux leather will be used on chargeable basis.
                                Till now no proper response in spite of repeated calls to service or show room.

                                Seems to be a cheating company.

                                I bought a dining table which is having a problem with legs of the dining chair.which needs to be fixed immediately..please send a person and fix the issues.i bought this dining table from Woodpecker velachery.
                                Purchased 2 seater recliner sofa in 2017 from Chennai. Within 6 months the entire genuine leather cover as claimed by sales person started peeling and falling all over the place.. it sticks to people sitting on the sofa. And it looks so ugly with the tattered rexine cover. Wood pecker had cheated us with a worthless product for Rs. 55k. Sincw we moved out of Chennai we couldn't lodge a complaint at the showroom.

                                  I bought a recliner for rs 30, 000/-. From my registered ph no., you can verify the date of purchase and the history of service rendered by your technician. A few days after delivery at my home, the material at foot rest was peeling off. I complained to your aminjikarai store from where i got the recliner. They sent the technician to my home. He did some minor correction with pasting the material and assured that there won't be problem thereafter.

                                  But to my surprise, the material pasted did not stick permanently and it was again tearing off. When i again told your people over ph nos. [protected] & [protected], i was asked to send the images of recliner's affected portion by whatsapp in the second ph no. Ending 12040. I have promptly done the same.

                                  But they say that i'll have to bear the cost of repairs. Since the problem occurred from the beginning, the product has to be repaired at company's cost. Despite my telephonic conversation with the phone no. [protected] and sending image once again in whatsapp as advised by him, it is not taken care.

                                  I am totally disappointed with the product, service and the image of wood pecker is at stake. Please attend to my complaint and set right the recliner at the earliest. Meanwhile, the foam inside the bottom of the foot rest is also coming out. Further, the head of the recliner is also slowly getting peeled.

                                  The product i was supplied was of very inferior quality and not worth the price i paid for.in view of the above, i request quick service. You may contact me for details. A krishnan

                                    My compliant number is 605. You have supplied a defective cot that developed problem within a week. The plank just went in. You claimed it can be fixed and your service team attended. Now within another 3.5 months the same problem occurred. Because the fundamentally the product you have sold to us for 18, 0000 inr is defective. Please exchange the cot. I registered this compliant 3 months ago soon after the problem surfaced and no action to my satisfaction is taken. Even electronics goods are exchanged when a defective product is given to customer. Even mobile phones are; even automobiles are exchanged when a defective product is supplied. Why do you expect us to sleep in a broken cot when with our hard earned money we bought a cot honestly from you??? Can you please attend to this. It is almost midnight and i am unable to use my cot, sleep in peace because of the defective product and the scant respect you have given to a customer.

                                      Hi we went to woodpecker last sunday and wanted to buy a sofa, the sales man during billing cheated us mentioning vat where there is no vat included. Actually 50% sale is going on. But it as to billed only the displayed rate, but they added tax to it saying gst is not updated in their system.
