[Resolved]  www.giftagift.com — Online Cheating Business

Dear Sir,

I live in UK. I have bought a gift at www.giftagift.com or www.countryoven.com, for my friend's son in India. They have accepted the payment. For which there was a transaction charge as well. On the delivery day, they came to me saying the gift we selected is not in stock and asking me to select another. I did not like anything else in that site and informed that I can wait for another day. And next day they did not come to me untill I called back and they says they cannot get the same gift which I oredered till a month. I missed the day and could not gifted it on time to my friend's son. And I asked for compensation. They said they cannot even give the money which I paid straight away and I will have to wait for 7 days and regarding compensation they will speak to management and decide and also promised that they will come back in 2 days. they never came back to me. Today when I called, after 10 days of my order date, they said they have refunded the money yesterday, but they have not refunded the transaction charges. And they are arrogent by saying they will not give any compensation.

I am really upset as
1. I could not send any gift on my friend's Birthday on time as I relyed on www.giftagift.com.
2. They kept my money for 10 days without doing any service to me and that made me not to go for any other gifts till the money comes.
3. No compensation given for their mistake
4. No transaction fees given back to me as it was their mistake.
5. I am totally upset for everything they say sorry which will not fulfill my needs which I missed.

Please help people by banding websites like these which will not fullfill consumers needs as they promised.

I had similiar experience with the website. The customer service was HORRIBLE !! I would not recommend anyone to use the services provided by this site. The person who delivered the gift wanted a "tip" from the recipient, another example !! The messages with the gift were never delivered, gifts were never on time and I had to keep contacting customer service regarding the status and never got a good response from them.

My order was not delivered. This is how they deal with customer service

Day1:
I had an order to India, they have not delivererd the stuff they promised. When I called they said it was delivered and asked me to double check. When I told them the order was not delivered they they said they would call back in 10 minutes. I did not get a call back in the next 2 hours. When I called back someone else picked and said they would deliver it next day. Holy crap!!

Day 2:
They did not deliver the next day as well. When I called they said they they might deliver it if they can reach the associate in another city.

Day 3:
Still no delivery. When I called they said they could not deliver it due to operational issues. I had to make the call myself to find that out.

They do not have any confirmation numbers of the phone calls they talk. They are very unprofessional and they do not even know how to talk in english properly.

giftagift.com and countryoven.in websites are managed by a bunch of cheats,
Their names are Ravi, Varma, Giri Rao, Sunil(the imaginary boss whom you cant reach).

So after 2 months I talk to the customer care at gift a gift.com to see if they have improved. I am pasting the chat that I had with Ravinder again. They still outright lie to you, like you see.

It is a total RIPOFF !! They have cheated me for a hefty 100 bucks ... being a student i have worked my off in papers and oncampus jobs for this money !! The birthday is long gone ...its been a month NOW ... i have no gift ... no money ... They are totally untrustworthy. They dont reply email nor pick calls... 24 hrs customer service is a JOKE, they avoid talking to the customers so they can keep the money ... Does anybody know i can list them so that others do not use them ... !!! Please help me get the money back !!
I am not sure what are the items people posting here are ordering. I have been using this site for over 5 years now to send gifts regularly to friends and family in India. Their deliveries are always on time and the cakes, flowers etc. are always in excellent condition. I have used other websites/services before but always come back to this site. I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.
They are big cheats, they double charged on my visa. Worst customer service and they have not refunded the double charge. They charge you without you knowledge. Donot use them. Big frauds.
I have been complaining for 6 months to get refund on double charges, spent hours of my time, loss of value of money and mental trauma due to the the whole experience fighting with them. But got no resolution yet on the whole issue.
I ordered a nice fresh fruit cake for my fiancée on her b'day with some roses, but these guys delivered the wrong cake, I think may be because they did not have it or ran out of stock or whatever which they never informed me but delivered nasty honey cake which was a sugar syrup cake. I would have rather asked them not to send it to her and rather make her fall sick. Anyways, when I called them to enquire about it, they said May be something went wrong and asked me to send an email and then they will take action. I said, what is done is done you cant change it. you delivered a cake that was less than half the price of my cake order, I said, I will go ahead and write the reviews about this and he was least concerned, as if that's gonna affect his business. So please, be careful with this giftagift.com... crooks totally!!
well after seeing every indian web site with bad reviews I thought it might be issues specific to case by case but no..they are MF crooks they lie upfront. I went to country oven web site to place order it was not allowing it then called to customer care they redirected me to giftagift.com and there started my issues..he promised me that he will match the same order as its on that site and when finally placed he asked to replace order as he is going to cancel it and refund it with in 24 to 48 hours..I am not seeing any refund even after two weeks...going to file dispute just utter waste of time and strain.

The owners are wealthy
And doctors
Any issues Bring it them in person as clearly they do not know customer service.
