Hi Respected forum members, I purchased a Canon A590 IS digital camera through www.thehindushopping.com for Rs. 6195 /- through their online shopping site on 31 Dec '08. Shipping charges of Rs. 225/- were levied and a total of Rs. 6420/- was paid. The product was supposed to be shipped in 12 days. The status of the purchase was 'ReadyToShip' all this time. When I contacted after 16 days after purchase, now they updated the Remarks column saying 'Product is out of stock ' and if they are unable to source it from other vendors, they will refund the amount. I completely agree that this should go to conusmer court. I have a similar experience from this website. I had purchased an emergency lentern worth Rs 895/- should give a min power of 8W for 4 hrs and they had sent some chines product worth Rs 50/ which is giving hardly 15 min charge. For the last 3 weeks neither they are replacing that nor they are refunding the amount. People should be careful and should not purchase things from this webiste.
