Concorde Motors — cancellation fee levied on tata nexon

I had booked Tata Nexon XE model, Grey colour on 21st November 2017 with booking amount of Rs. 11000 and decided in the month of December 2017 to get 2018 model delivered. The dealer contacted me on 21st January 2018 with the quotation of the car and on demanding gave insurance details on 25th January 2018. On comparing the price with others in market they are charging relatively high, so I decided to cancel booking with them on 29th January 2018.

When I asked them to cancel the booking, they said there will be cancellation charges of Rs. 3000 and the refund will be made only for Rs. 8000 which was not at all informed at the time of booking and is also not mentioned on my booking slip/receipt.

Now they are saying that they had already mentioned this on the price list (copy of which was not provided at that time). Now upon asking for the copy of price list they have provided the document. The entire document is in font Book Antiqua and the point 9 specifying cancellation charges is in a different font "Arial". This clearly shows that the document was modified before sending to me. Also, I have a valid proof for this:

I had also checked with Tata Motors on their toll free number ([protected]) and other Tata Motors dealer and they have confirmed that there is no cancellation charges levied on Tata Nexon.

On making a complaint with Tata Motors regarding the dealer, Concorde Motors has contacted me to negotiate on the charges and now say that they will deduct Rs. 1500 and refund rest. This clearly shows that they are cheap money makers and want to trap customers in the best manner they can.

A customer can happily bear the charges provided the information is given well in advance but definitely not in such a manner.

The dealer is simply cheating the customers and is fraud in market.

Kindly take an action asap.
