First of all i am lucky that i saved my hard earned money by not registering to their membership today. They approach me telling that i got some free vouchers, which includes holiday voucher, inox movie tickets, barbeque nation vouchers and some few more. Enough to get you to their office asking to attend 45 minutes presentation.

Now once you get in their office with your wife, they will seek your personal info. Your salary, car, vacations domestic n international details you need to fill in their form. Once they started briefing, it was all fine by that time. I was convinced that they do offer maximum discounts, telling very lucrative discount and offers to ensure that you swipe your card to get their membership on same day as discount is applicable only for that day. But i have not opted for it as you cant decide on same day, you may seek some time, you check with your friends or colleagues about the company and their feedback. Later i realised that these guys are trying all wrong means to sell their membership, lot of attitude problem i can see in their staff. Not ready to listen, and if someone do not take membership they get into argument.

The guy told me that country club is a listed company and is in business since last 30 years, so being into finance, i quickly checked the financials, stock is a penny stock, trading at rs. 6, sales degrew by 13% in last 3 years, so i checked with the executive why is it so if your company is doing so well why sales is going down, he might find my question unanswerable, so his manager came in to address my query and started asking me stock price of tata motors going down, jlr business, zee business, etc. N told me that we do not know what all these companies do, so please stop discussing financials, you are here to discuss financials or for membership. I told him honestly, i am here to collect free voucher and what was wrong, you called me for that only in your office. But was interested to know about their presentation for two reasons, firstly it was my first presentation of such holiday membership company and secondly, from financials perspective, i thought, is this company a hidden gem stock which can turnaround its performance in coming years and reward its shareholders in big way. But i am sure you cant expect companies like country club to grow and flourish with such employees.

I saw one live example today, one couple sitting next to me went into argument and lady executive of country club was just trying to convince them, the argument turned into almost shouting. And the manager briefing to us shouted telling his colleague to simply give them gift, as they are here for gift. And later he also started arguing with that couple. Are you inviting couples by luring them to insult them in your office? Is this the way to behave with your potential customer. If someone like me wish to take any membership in future, i will surely not go with country club.

By that time i made my mind not to purchase their membership and it was already 2.5 hours in their office, i told the guy that i will not take country club membership immediately and i do not want your free gift also as myself, my wife were getting late. And so i along with my wife and kid left their office without any such freebies. Was not surprised, they do not have courtesy to ask you to get your free gift because they are there to simply make you fool. Its just to lure you to get into their trap. They may not give free vouchers to you, i cant comment, they may give free vouchers only if you get their membership or after insulting you so much which couple sitting next to me experienced today.

I believe customer is king, companies need to ensure their satisfaction but these guys do not consider you as their customers till you have not taken their membership and simply keep an attitude thinking you are cheater who came only to collect free gift. This is what clearly told to me by the office manager today.

Who is cheater here, country club employee asking couples to come and collect free gift after attending 45 minutes presentation or the couples who do not buy your membership? The guy was not ready to accept that i am attending such presentation for the first time looking at details. He was not trusting me, so if you cant trust the couples who you are inviting, how you can build upon the relation. They may trust you if you get their membership on same day only because they also believe that once you are out of their office, you will never go back to them, its just on words that because we are giving time to them, so they give us free vouchers. Its all rubbish! If you want so, be ready to get insulted first which has been experience by couple sitting next to me.

Truly speaking, i would have thought of taking their membership later. But i realised that i am lucky enough that i saved my hard earned money. I just missed doing googling about country club, else i would have saved my car petrol and precious 3 to 4 hours by avoiding todays experience. After doing some of googling and reading their membership customer feedback online made me realize that these guys are making all false claims and promises to lure you, you will end up paying your hard earning money for which later you will only repent.

Jago country club walo jago... Improvise on your work culture, train your employees, improve your business integrity and operate ethically. You are into hospitality business, not into luring couples business, stop insulting and misleading them.
