[Resolved]  Country Holidays Inn & Suites — Fake promises and no service

We came across a situation with one of our close friends, where they purchased a membership from CHIS (Country Holidays Inn & Suites) this year.
CHIS sales person contacted them to come and listen to their presentation on the company and anyhow wanted them to purchase any membership. So they explained a 5years plan to them, and when they were still reluctant, executives started throwing lucrative offers on the top of the membership. Finally they ended up buying a 5years domestic trip plan on EMI basis.
1. Even after almost 3 months they did not receive any hard copy of the contract and user credentials which was supposed to be received within a week of purchase only.
2. They were promised to be provided with the 4/5 star hotel rooms only whenever they want for any location. Now when they are trying to redeem the holidays voucher (given on the top of membership), CHIS team is not providing the bookings, they are only giving one location as per their cost effectiveness in which they are not interested. On the top of it they are asking for the utility charges, which their sales executives denied at the time of purchase. They said no additional charges would be levied while redeeming the vouchers as they are members and already have paid for the membership. CHIS team communicated that after taking the membership, holidays vouchers will be treated as membership vouchers only, but the reservation team is not considering this even after explaining the scenario multiple times.
3. Sales Executives Santosh Mishra and Vijay Chauhan mis represented the fact by saying that if they dont like the services then at anytime they can discontinue or withdraw the membership and promised to help in membership cancellation, but when they tried for refund/withdraw/cancel the membership, it was denied by CHIS customer support team as well as both the sales executives.
4. CHIS is taking money from people but not providing them booking on long weekends, peak seasons and on normal days as well by giving the sake o[censored]navailability.The company never seems willing to provide any booking. Our friend had to reschedule their plan multiple times as CHIS team everytime refused to provide the booking on any date for the whole month of August and September saying it is peak. It is limit of negligence as our friend bought the membership for seamless and hassle free hotels booking but CHIS and its reservation team is now giving them a hard time, lot of stress and eating up our work time which is impacting their mental health now.They also raised the grievance within 10 days of purchase because of neglecting and ill behaviour, yet trusted CHIS and gave the team a chance to book their future travels. They had to stay on-call with their team for several hours for a month just to make a reservation and even after that nothing turned out positively.
5.They had a telephonic conversation with the Assistant Manager of the reservation team, he himself told them that the bookings are not available. They did not pay any attention to their mails, calls and were just lingering on their booking until a complaint was raised. Manager continuously forced them to mark the complaint as resolved and told them to provide further bookings only after marking it resolved. The CHIS team made the case priority only after getting a red alert, otherwise nobody was paying heed. All this headache is giving them mental stress now.

False Promises:
a) Sales executives falsely promised about the reversal of the membership and the utility charges.
b) Did not provide a hard copy of membership contract and user credentials till now.
c) Did not provide bookings on weekends and peak seasons even after being a paid member.
d) They are providing only basic rooms not the promised 4/5 star hotels.
e) Not providing bookings as per the customers plan, instead forcing members to avail vacations as per their availability everytime.
f) Customer care and reservation team never replies on time.
g) Refused to redeem the holiday vouchers, instead asked members to redeem the membership only.
h) EMI deduction summing up to more than the said amount.

People paid them with their hard earned money and wanted timely, seamless services in return which CHIS never delivered. Many families have fallen prey to their false promises and misrepresentation of facts. This company should be reported to the consumer court now as they have started the business for looting the public. Special query should be arranged for their Sales Representatives as they are the ones who befool the innocent people. They should be charged for the fraudestry, Breach of Public Trust, MisRepresentation of Facts and should return the money ASAP.
