I had booked 2 rooms at Country Inn Bhimtal on 9th June for 27th - 29th June 2024.
Unfortunately due to family mishap, we had to cancel the booking. The booking cancellation was initiated on 19th June, all details were shared and CHIS confirmed 100% refund.
However, we've not received the refund even after 10 days.
CHIS says that the Company Policy is to refund amount in 45 working days. This would have made complete sense if we were living in year 2000 or before. But does not make any sense in year 2024 with huge advancement in Digital payment methods. This is a very very bad customer experience where one has to wait for their own money for such long time.
Unless CHIS is earning interest on its customer's booking amount (which would be un-ethical), I do not think there is any logical explanation for withholding its customer's booking amount for such long time.
I would request CHIS team to please refund the booking amount ASAP and reduce the refund timeline to maximum 15 days.
