[Resolved] Vertical Ventures Pvt Ltd — Fraud me by taking my Credit Card Details. | |||
Am a HDFC Credit card holder. I have blocked my Credit card on 03 Oct 2013, due to unknown transaction happen through my Card. I can explain what happen on 03 Oct 2013. Fraud Happen I got a call from Delhi from a person name Nevin Tiwary ( [protected]) by evening around 5.30 PM. This person told me that my card have been selected by there company (I don't remember exact company name) and they like to give some packages and one discount card some lifetime membership card which can be used for discount(15%-50%) every time i swipe my card for shopping. Unfortunately i have given all my details and finally they have used my HDFC credit card for Rs.5900 through online transaction. Today i got a courier from Delhi Vertical Ventures (08 Oct 2013) in my office address given by me to them and courier was received by my security when i was not there in office, Am returning the courier which i don't want and the merchant is not available in the call. As soon as i received sms that my amount has been deducted (Rs. 5900) I blocked my credit card on the day transaction happen. I informed Credit card customer care requesting to block my Credit Card and told them what happen, but customer care person informed that they can give updates only after 48 Hours, about the transaction. Today morning i called Credit customer care (08 Oct 2013) and they informed that the Merchant (Vertical Ventures) already claimed the amount from the bank and now when i tried on the number given by fraud to me the number ([protected]) is unavailable and i have returned the goods back to same address. This company has fraud me by taking all my credit card details. I apologies that this was my mistake but i want this amount to be refunded as soon as possible. So i blocked my card on 03 Oct 2013 so that merchant should not claim the amount. I request you to inquire on this, so i have attached dispute form with this mail as per request from credit card customer care. Please investigate on this and kindly refund me the amount which was claimed by a fraud company ( Vertical Ventures Pvt Ltd, 305-306, NDM-2, Block-C Netaji Subhash Place, New Delhi 110034, Ph: [protected] ). Hi every one. You guys just dial 100 number and lodge a complaint against this company. Police will take necessary action. Just mention that they have done a fraud with you and it was a fraud call.

I am also a HDFC Credit card holder. Same thing happened with me also. Yesterday one guy name Amit Sukla called me from Vertical Venture, Delhi by the same number ([protected]) and told me the same thing that I am a very regular customer of HDFC credit card and I got selected for a lifetime membership discount card.For confirmation he asked my card number when I told that I am not going to provide my credit card number than he told this is totally safe and with card number alone no one can do any transaction. This is only for verification. Then he also told on display of this card on any shopping mall or on any online transaction I will get 10-30% discount and alone with this I will get on gift voucher to book hotels, one puma shoe and one sunglass. In between he asked my card cvv number and my mistake I shared that too. Then he transferred call to different team to confirm my shipping address and contact number. During this time they told for confirmation to check whether I received a 6 digit number in my mobile and asked me share that.After that I received a message from HDFC Credit card saying 7999/- has been deducted. Later I checked that was one time password that I shared with them.
I have also lodged a complain against Vertical Venture firm and asked bank to cancel that transaction and block my existing credit card.

I had also received a call from the same Vertical Ventures Pvt Ltd a few days back, however when they started asking for the card no., I had refused to provide card details, today again one Lady by name Pooja called from the same company and started inducing to provide card details telling that we need to validate these details to issue 30% discount card and when I started enquiring about their company she tried to justify that I am not asking PIN No/ Security Info, I am asking only Card No. & CVV for which every merchant will have access. I asked her about her employee code, company details, website, phone no and told her to call after 20 minutes and meanwhile I will check the details. She has not called back.
But it seems these people are engaged in online frauds and we need to make people aware of the activities. I would like to know the course of action taken against this company & effectiveness of the same.
