Hi,
This is in regards to my purchase of Essilor lens for my reading glasses on 9/11/2019through GKB Opticals, T.nagar, Chennai. I started facing issues on my lens exactly after 4 months of continuous usage, I immediately raised the concern with my seller, GKB vide email. I have attached a screenshot below. As you are aware, there were intense lockdown measures which prevented me visiting the store in person. Further more, I am unable to comprehend the logic of submitting my frame+lens to Essilor for 10 days to troubleshoot/replace the defective part. Do Essilor expect customers to maintain a spare even though charging a premium amount for your lenses? Are they so unreliant that customers have to maintain a spare and submit the defective item for close to two weeks to get a resolution.
I think it is absolutely unfair to expect the customer to endure these inconveniences for the benefit of the organization. I am a practicing surgeon and to think my vision is not accurate because of a faulty product is scary and it is certainly making me rethink my decision to have invested so much money on a brand which does not care about the wellbeing/comfort of their customers.
I want to appeal to your good judgement to have the defect lens replaced or issue a refund for the invested money at the earliest. I hope I dont have to look for an alternate brand. Looking forward for an appropriate response.
