I had got high index poly-carbonate power cooler for my tommy sun glass in 2015, after using it for over 20 months i realized that the coating on the lenses were wearing out developing cracks on it. I took it back to shiva vision opticals (Kammanahalli, bangalore) where i have been buying all my lenses and they acknowledged that the fault and sent it back to the company and told me that it will be rectified. I was told that the lens will be replaced/recoated. After the problem was rectified i was using it regularly, but again after year and half i see the same problem. This was impacting my vision and hence, i took it back to shiva vision and they said that they will check with the company as it is not 4 years since it was originally brought. It is 2 months since i handed over my power coolers to them but still not being rectified stating it has been 4 years. I have been loyal to crizal brand for a long time and am disappointed to see that the lenses are not reliable and durable even after paying a very high premium. I am disappointed by the fact that the company claims the coating on their lens will not stay for over 2 years. If that was the case, i should have been informed in advance so that i could have looked at alternate options. I have been using power coolers in the past for a long time and haven't come across such issues in the past. I would request crizal to address this issue at the earliest as it is the only pair of power coolers i have and finding it difficult to drive in the sun without the glasses for over 2 months now. The bill copy and a personal letter with my concerns was addressed to the company and submitted to shiva vision 2 months back along with the faulty lenses.
