Undue harassment, unethical malpractices and poor workmanship by DD Motors, service station Kirti nagar2

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am constrained to inform that DD motors Service centre at Kirti Nagar is engaging in harassment and unethical malpractices and has caused undue trauma to me and has been engaging in misleading and false assurances.

I had purchased Maruti Nexa Beleno vehicle bearing no. DL9CAN 0356 and was regularly being serviced at DD motors.

The vehicle has run only about 444000 km. I had some problem with clutch and therefore requested for repair and service of the vehicle. The vehicle was picked up by the driver of DD motors on 5.3.2022.

The vehicle was inspected by Mr. Suresh Anand and no other defect was pointed out except for repair of clutch, though it is doubtful that at 40000 thousand clutch needs replacement. But as per their advice, I agreed for repairs and paid Rs.19611/- only and vehicle was delivered at my residence on 6/3/2022. (Copy of bill attached)

At the time of delivery, it was observed that rear camera of vehicle was not working, immediately the same was informed to driver who had been deputed to deliver vehicle on the spot and same was conveyed to Mr. Suresh Anand, advisor attached with vehicle, who informed that this may be due to water entering in camera, during washing at the time of servicing, and

The game of harassment ensued.

Mr. Suresh advisor asked/forced me to bring the vehicle to workshop (it is to place on record that I had never visited workshop due to paucity of time and always driver of DD motors picked the vehicle). I took the vehicle to workshop on 7th march, 2022 and it was informed after examination by technician that water has entered in the camera and you please keep the vehicle under sunlight for 2 days and camera will start working ( in retrospect a very funny advice).

However, in good faith I waited for two days and when camera did not work, I again contacted Mr. Suresh advisor, who informed that he will be on leave and shared the moblie no. of Mr. Kamal, Manager service station.

He was also not available in workshop on Thursday and was not responding to phone call, later his daughter picked up the phone and informed that father has left the phone at home, though later on it was informed by Mr. Kamal that he was out of station.

Mr. Suresh again requested to visit workshop on Saturday, 12th march, 2022.

I again visited the workshop on Saturday and met Mr. Kamal, who informed me that the staff here is not trained in camera installation ( though it is very surprising, a fact that needs verification at your end and) and discussed the matter with GM sales at DD motors, Punjabi Bagh and it was decided that on Monday the vehicle will be picked up by driver and repair/replacement will be carried out at Punjabi Bagh.

But, on Monday 14th march, DD motors Kirti nagar refused to pick up the vehicle on the plea that they have only two drivers, in spite of my call which has been entered in their register for pick up ( can be verified by record). This was just to harass me so that I may not insist for repairs.

I lodged a telephonic complaint to DD motors customer care and the I got a call from Ms. Priyanka of DD motors and now they were ready to pick the car, but since it was late in the evening ( you can feel my helplessness), it was decided that vehicle will be picked up on Tuesday.

The vehicle was picked up by driver on 15th march and it was taken to DD motors for repair/replacement of Camera as promised by Mr. Kamal and mutually agreed by both the GMs.

But surprisingly, I got a call that camera could not be repaired at Punjabi Bagh and he has taken the vehicle to Kirti nagar workshop for replacement of camera.

He further informed that Mt. Kamal is not in office and I may contact him telephonically.

I contacted Mr. Kamal, who informed that he is not in office and will revert back, which he never did.

I contacted him again and he informed that the camera lens is damaged and he does not have rear camera in the stock and further informed that it will cost me[protected] which I have to pay.

When it was brought to his notice that the damage has been caused at his workshop due to poor technique of servicing, he informed that he is helpless and he may have to take up the matter with his higher ups and it will take two, three days for a decision to replace the camera.

I have narrated these facts to bring to your notice the callousness on part of service Centre staff and cover-up on their lapses to harass a customer and to extract the money from the customer by fleecing him and engaging in unethical practices.

My pertinent issues for your kind consideration are:-

1. To train the staff in vehicle service so that damage due to water can be avoided which can be done by simply tapping the camera.

2. GM service station to apologize me for the undue harassment due to false promises on number of occasions.

3. Advisor, Mr. Suresh's records be scrutinized and if needed he be either trained and retrained both in technical as well as humanistic aspects and if he is not amenable he be replaced for better efficiency and to maintain good name which Maruti has earned over the period. It is pertinent to mention whenever he is the advisor lapses occurs in repairs, to this testimony I am attaching two apology letters issued by DD motors in the past related to service. You are a big company and must be maintaining records of vehicle repairs and grievance redressal, please check records of my vehicle to understand the malicious and targeted victimization

4. Used parts of clutch repair have not been returned to me, and a doubt has been created in my mind about genuineness of repairs, therefore CCTV footage of repairs be checked or third party inspection be carried out of my vehicle which I am sure will open pondara box and corrupt malpractices at DD Motors.

5. And last but not the least the camera may be replaced at company's cost as damage has been carried out at their workshop, had it not been so I may not be advised to visit the workshop on three occasions. Res ipsa loquiter in legal terminology says facts speak for itself and the facts narrated above can be verified at your end.
