Deepam Cabs — Fraud and overcharge by Driver and Company

I am writing to report a distressing incident that occurred during my recent cab booking with your company, which involved deceptive practices, overcharging, and a rude driver. I am seeking a resolution to this issue and a refund for the extra amount I paid.

On 30 Aug 23, I booked a cab (335411) with Deepam Cab Company for a Non-AC Mini cab. The estimated fare for my ride was INR 997/-. However, when the driver arrived at my location and completed the trip, he demanded an additional INR 375/-, claiming that I had selected a Non-AC Mini cab but had been provided with a higher category of vehicle.

I was taken aback by this demand as I had specifically chosen the Non-AC Mini cab option and had no reason to pay extra. The driver's behavior was rude and confrontational, leaving me feeling unsafe and pressured into paying the additional amount. Given my vulnerable situation at the time, I reluctantly paid the INR 375/-.

I attempted to contact your customer care number during the incident to report the issue and seek assistance, but I was unable to reach anyone for help or clarification.

I am deeply dissatisfied with this experience and the unethical conduct of your driver. I demand a full refund of the extra INR 375/- that I was unjustly charged. I am willing to pay the originally quoted fare of INR 997/-, as per my booking confirmation.
