We received a very very high bill, bill no[protected], for 2 years from 4th aug 2015 to 30th may 2017 of amount rs.48107. Hence for a total period of 21 months and usage of 1189 units, the bill received averages to approximately rs.2300 per month which is more than 4 times of the normal. Strangely we did not received any bill during these 2 years.
Earlier complaint lodged with djb in this respect was [protected] for which no proper response was given. Meanwhile we have paid rs.28502 to the djb during 1st week of july and deposited the meter to djb for getting the meter checked sometime a month back (1st week of august). The meter testing report is still awaited from the djb though it is already one month since the meter was deposited for testing.
In the meantime we received bill for june 2017 (Bill no.[protected] which has been billed properly for rs.536/- and 25 units. Hence it is very clear that no body from djb visited the house to take proper reading during those 2 years and have sent a bill on generic basis.
This needs to be investigated thoroughly for the lapses on part of djb / erring officials on charging such an inflated bill and we must be provided with revised bill with proper reading / units consumption basis regular consumption as per previous bills.
