Respected Sir/Madam,
We, the concerned parents of DPS Gandhidham, Gujarat, wish to formally bring to your notice several serious issues related to unauthorised fee hikes, lack of transparency, and unprofessional behavior by the school management, which is damaging the reputation of the DPS brand.
1. Unauthorised and Excessive Fee Hike
As per the Fee Regulatory Committee (FRC) guidelines, schools are permitted to increase fees by only 5% over the previous academic year. However, DPS Gandhidham has increased the fees by approximately 22%, which is completely unjustified and against FRC norms.
Despite repeated requests, the school management is refusing to share a copy of the FRC approval, which raises serious concerns about compliance and transparency.
2. Collection of Fees in a Separate Trust Account
We have observed that Session Fees and AI Fees are not being collected in the official DPS account. Instead, these amounts are being collected under “Padma Welfare Society”, which is alarming and questionable.
Parents have the right to know:
Why fees are not deposited in the DPS account
Whether this practice has approval from DPS Society and FRC
How these funds are being utilized
3. Non‑Cooperation and Misbehavior by School Authorities
Parents have approached the Director and Principal multiple times to discuss these concerns. Unfortunately:
They are not willing to meet parents
They are behaving rudely and disrespectfully
Genuine concerns are being ignored
Most shockingly, the DPS management themselves announced a parent meeting on 28.03.2026 at 9:30 AM, but on the same day:
School gates were closed
Doors were locked from inside
Parents were denied entry without any explanation
This type of behavior is completely unacceptable and unworthy of an institution carrying the DPS name.
4. Damage to DPS Brand Reputation
Delhi Public School is a respected national brand built on trust, discipline, and transparency. Unfortunately, the actions of DPS Gandhidham, Gujarat, are seriously tarnishing this reputation.
If school management behaves in this manner, parents are forced to ask:
“If this is the attitude, how safe and respectful is the environment for our children?”
5. Our Request
We humbly request the DPS Head Office to:
Conduct an immediate inquiry into the fee hike and fund collection practices
Ensure fees are collected only through authorized DPS accounts
Direct the school to share FRC approval documents with parents
Instruct the school management to maintain transparency and proper conduct
Arrange a fair meeting between parents and authorized DPS representatives
We strongly believe that DPS Head Office will take appropriate and immediate action to resolve this matter and restore trust and transparency between the school and parents.
