I booked my courier from new york to india. And the delivery date was 2 june. But i have not received my courier till date. I have paid 20, 000 inr for a courier worth 7000 inr only. Customer care service is also pathetic. They don't even know how to deal with the client. I have sent so many emails but still all wasted. Other services like upsc and upsbare much better than dhl. Dhl is only meant for looting people...

    As i have been exchanging lot of emails with your customer care executives and not having any trust that my issue would be resolved, i have to resort to social media platform.

    Below are the details:

    16.06.2020:
    I received a message from dhl express regarding import duty/taxes for packet that was ordered from australia the shipment contains items for personal use and the recipient is my mother i ordered the product on her behalf and therefore i was making all payments and i am placed abroad. I was not able to pay the duties through usual means listed on the website and i contacted dhl express on 16.06.2020 & she sent me the bank details where i could make the payment. Also all this exchange happened via emails and if the need be, i can provide these emails too. I transferred the money same day and i shared details of transaction with customer care executive
    17.06.2020:
    I was contacted by person 2 on 17.06.2020 to send the details of the transaction once again which i shared already with whom i was in contact with day before however i was not aware that she is not able to open the document. I tried calling her on phone number listed under all her digital signatures but apparently for whatsoever reason, i have never been able to reach her.

    I was contacted by person 3 and was again asked to share details. By this time, i was frustrated and called dhl again to be answered by person 4 and i am grateful that he maintained his calm with me on the phone call. He asked me to share details with him and only from him, i got to know that they were not able to open the document. I shared details with him again and thanks to him that he coordinated with all others on it. At 5:27 pm, i finally heard the response from person 3 that information has been forwarded to respective departments and person 2 will get back to me the next day.

    At 11:30 am, i got an email from person 2 where she just repeated what person 3 and person 4 told me on 18.06.2020 which seems to me that person 2 disregarded all the activity that took place on 18.06.2020 and just thought that it was sufficient to repeat the message. I replied to that email with no response back whatsoever from her side. I tried calling her on the number under her digital signature and she does not answer or does not understand the frustration that has been caused.

    Starting from 16.06.2020 till 18.06.2020, i have called dhl expresses 31 times (I have call logs with me) to get it resolved but its been 4 days and its baffling that accounts department still have not been able to find details of my transaction and none of above people find it necessary to follow-up on it urgently.

    All of what is written above can be backed by email exchanges that i have had till now.in the current covid-19 times, i would have thought that dhl express would actually be more inclined towards not losing their customers but it does not seem like that. Having been an ex-dhl employee in dhl hq in germany, i can say that i don't feel honored that i was part of such an organization.

    Yes my conversation with few of them was not really pleasant but how would have they felt in my situation. I don't feel respected enough as a customer and i don't feel my time is respected. Yes none of then directly did any personal harm to me but good would be if each one of them could put yourself in my situation and judge for themselves based on the current outcomes. I still don't have a response, finance department is not able to find one transaction and i still don't have a time-frame when this issue could be finally resolved.

        I need your help as in india dhl not listening to me even i have written to country head also
        I have one packet of samples arrived from turkey with airway bill number [protected]
        On 30th. May 2020 this packet was cleared from customs
        But from them i contacting dhl by emails / tollfree numbers, no body is listening to me and only getting repose that we are in touch with our ground team
        I know that covid is a problem but not a such problem that even after 2 weeks dhl – india have no answer
        My one sea shipment is ready and just we have do some productions as per these samples, otherwise if we fails in such case we have to face the penalties that can goes to usd 22000.00

          It is to bring to your kind notice that there is a shipment coming from usa to india with awb no: [protected]

          Ours is an sez unit and there are no customs duties and taxes.

          We have given a pre-alert to dhl on 10.03.2020 at 10.53 am by email informing that the shipment is meant for courier mode clearance without customs duties.
          We were supposed to create the boe and share with dhl.

          Same also has been communicated by phone call to the customer care.

          Yesterday i. E 11.03.2020 also i have called customer care three times and informed this is sez shipment clearance should be done without payment of duty.

          They informed the shipment not yet landed in india after landing, we intimate accordingly, but now it showing clearance has been completed.

          We have received an email that the shipment got cleared from customs and we need to pay the duty of rs.16, 377.23

            I am very much confused and frustrated with the kind of service dhl is providing to indian customers. My shipments with awb no [protected] and [protected] was to be delivered from shenzhen china to ghaziabad india.
            All the items enclosed within were samples that were to be used for educational purposes.in case of awb no [protected] the cost of one item was just 2 $ that amounts to rs 144 in total on which dhl took 25.29 $ almost 12 times the cost of item to be delivered. Then i expected that everything would be handled by dhl, but then when the item came to customs i was notified that i has to pay an additional amount of rs 2181 which makes absolutely no sense by any indian custom standards and also included delay fee which was absolutely not present since i updated kyc details as soon as i was notified in both the cases. So, basically i am paying rs 4, 000 for an item to be delivered in india that has a cost of rs 140. This is absolutely absurd and fraudulent and after visiting my lawyer i have understood that this is not legal according to [section xvi. Machinery and mechanical appliances; electrical equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles] chapter 85 which also applies for the awb no [protected] as well, for which am charged rs 4000 of customs. I was not supposed to be charged for items which were samples and even if i was supposed to be charged a custom charge how can that be 2000 rs on an item that costs 144 rs? After paying 2000rs already to dhl for shipping it.
            I will be pursuing this on consumer court if my problems are not resolved and will publish a public youtube video soon on my channel to expose dhl fraudulent practice in india. Do not buy anything from dhl this company does not state anything before you order through it and then it holds your parcel for ransom.

              My shipement came from china to india on 26/12/2019 and from same day i doing 2 time follow up by call to dhl.. Even aftr submitting document of kyc on 27th they asked techical writeup and i sent within 30min on same day.. And then from 27th to till 5th january each day i called dhl and i get answer is within 24 to 48 hour my shipemnt will be clear and its submitted for clearance.. And aftr 48 hours when again...

              I got a 65$ gift card from my employer which i used on online shopping. Some of the amount was the gift card and some i bought myself just so i get free shipping from the website.
              For 80$ total value they are charging125$ customs. How is the custom charges more than the value of the parcel itself.
              Very dissatisfied with dhl

                My shipement came frm honkong china to bangalore india just within 2 days itself by clearance with hongkong goverment and from past 8 days its with dhl india.. still no response.. each day they keep changing fake status on online tracking website which have no relation with current status of my shipemnt.. i started to call customer care frm the date when its shipped from its origin.. and no proper response got from dhl.. after once its reached i submited documents and after second day they asked technical writeup which too i sent it after that too 8 dayd overed.. no response and each time they says they will talk with concern department. And saying to wait 24 to 48 hours and even after 48 hours still same answer. Today is 8th day and DHL i not able to call from my resgiterd no. As they blocked me and now i calling from 3 days from my other no. That easily connects. Such a worst service i got from DHL.. even last time i got my package from local shipper and that was faster then that and i thought to try DHL and its became horrible experince ever i faced in custom clerance issue.. i[censored] guys not have enough staff please dnt waste our time by just keep fake promiss and status.. even your dhl staff not have any idea about it..its really disgusting to ask u guys again and again about its status.. and on mail to no reply from your concern department.. and even if documents not enough they not even informing me i am calling then they tells me this need that need.. if my shipemnt wont get clear in 2 days more or till monday definatllyy.. i will file case .. just to get machine on time i paid amount to DHL so it should nt delay.. my machine openng was on 2nd.. and for that my parents came to bangalore and going back too now on 3rd and still u guys not have proper answer

                Today again i called morning at 11 am and i got answer is.. sir just last step is left so till today evening it will be cleard and i asked then in tracking site it shows shipemnt on hold then they said no sir its in final stage scanning.. i said fine will wait till today evening.. and at evening 6 pm when i called i got answer is sir its in custom clearance process wait 24 to 48 hours of time.. and same answer just 3 days back i heard and again today same answer such a irritsting and worst service.. atleast please exact time and date give whenvr i call says 24 to 48 hours and again after 48 hours same answer.. is it the service DHL provides??

                Its 9th January.. today 14 days overed my shipemnt reached to india.. and after lots of follow up again they said 3 days back that they need payment proof and letter to deputy that too I did and after that again today is 3rd day.. and still shipemnt clearance yet not done from DHL...on 26th they said kyc I did same day.. 27th they said technical writeup I did same day.. and after that 7 days continues follow up I did no response same status on tracking site as clearance event.. again on 6th they said customs asking transaction details and with that said to give write up letter to deputy commissioner I did it.. and still today when I asked they said it's still not proceesd for customs today too..before too I got my shipments from diffrnt suppliers never got delay more then 5 to 7 days..can u please answer when it will be cleard?how many days more have to wait?and still I not able to call DHL from my registrd no.

                Today again I did follow up and reason is custom clearance people server is down today so may b tomorrow for sure it will be cleared.. just 2 days back when I called they said custom officer mostly are on training so getting delay... so same status24 to 48 hours have to wait again.

                  Dear dhl we are dealing with your executive mr. Jitendra singh landline no.[protected] handling all the delivery process, but each & every time he his doing blunder mistakes, in one of the previous consignment he have delivered other vendor consignment to us against which we have transferred 100% duty in advance & received wrong consignment & reply received from mr. Jitendra kindly spk to customer care for refund process & wrong consignment, after so many complaints & chasing via mail we have received our actual consignment after 2 months, now today we have also faced one problem we have paid custom duty payment via online for rs.2330.91 (Awb no.[protected]) on 16.12.2019, but we have not received payment receipt from dhl same day & today we have received confirmation mail from dhl that your payment has been cleared, but against this consignment we have also issued cheque to dhl against delivery on 16.12.2019 for rs.2330.91, because previous online payment not received seems to get failed, but mr. Jitendra has get information of this receipt of payment online after that he deposited our cheque & mail to us to spk to customer service for refund process., its relay amazing how he is dealing with clients/customers its spoil the goodwill of dhl, we request you to take immediate action on this person to provide good services to the customers.

                    Dear sir
                    I just received dhl courier of a credit card for my husband. The process involved calling my husband and finding out otp number. One mr. Shahrukh has done delivery in lodha paradise, majiwada on 28 november, 2019. I would like to know
                    1. Who is responsible to call and get otp number. Mr. Shahrukh insisted that i call him
                    2. When forced to call, the number did not connect in one attempt and he rudely said i don't have time to call again and started to leave abruptly
                    3. The whole time he kept complaining. About the sbi process and how he has to make 70 delivery bin a day

                    Finally after pacifying him, i got my courier but it left a very bad impression of dhl. Is dhl doing some "meherbani" in giving us our. Courier.

                      I booked a shipment of 13 big boxes (250kgs) on august 5, 2019 (Dhl dehradun), and was assured of express delivery with a week. It reaches in kyoto my destination nearly in a month and sent back by dhl japan, saying that it contains some 'plant protection products". I asked dhl dehradun and delhi office to please clarify what items come under plant protection products and after removing them send once back to me.
                      Dhl delhi didn't care to ask and sent back the shipment, which took another three weeks to reach kyoto. Dhl japan again sent back my shipment stating the same reason that it contains plant protection products. Today is november 25, 2019, and i am still waiting for my shipment.
                      I complain a couple of times to their head office, customer care head, but i didn't get any satisfactory answer. Last time i asked a couple of questions, and they hardly care to answer me about those questions regarding my shipment.
                      This has caused me immense mental stress and inconvenience. I don't understand who to complain further.

                        submission of kyc

                        I had received sms to upload my kyc in repect of above shipment, i had submitted documents which were rejected time and again due to some technical reasons. Ihave been trying to submit kyc afresh since last 4 days but not able to upload the documents as system shows approval pending. Today i had received a call at about 3.30pm for re-submission of the documents when i had informed that i am unable to upload...

                        I received an award from an org named toastmasters international. They shipped the same through dhl. Its been a month and half and i have still not received it. Every now and then they call and ask for some document. This is a scam i say. They hold your shipment for more days and levy a additional warehouse charges on it. A good way to scam people. I am still waiting for my award and they are still not clearing it. Plus, they have the audacity to tell me that they will add warehouse charges. I am taking these people to the consumer court now. Enough of this. This was not even something that i ordered. Just a recognition that i received for the hard work i did, and these people have ruined it.

                          After receiving a message from dhl on[protected] for kyc updates, i tried to upload my aadhaar card details. I filled out all the fields and tried to proceed. The address on my aadhaar card is the same as my shipping address so i clicked on next. However, after clicking on next the page becomes invalid and there are no further proceedings, i am not even redirected anywhere. I don't know about the status of my kyc update or my shipment. Please help

                            I am keya majumdar. Boya company send me a microphone which value is $20 near about inr.1456 tracking number [protected]. I did not buy the item, the company send it to me as gift for review.

                            According to foreign trade act. The government has exempted gifts items received from foreign country to persons residing in india from the whole of custom duty under foreign trade act.in the present scenary import of goods up to the value of rs. 5, 000/- is allowed as gift, duty free. This exemption is allowed only for bonafide gifts imported by air or post. For the purpose of calculation of this value of rs. 5, 000/- the air flight or postal charges paid are not added. It is important to note that the value of rs. 5, 000/- is the value of the goods in the country from where the goods have been dispatched.

                            The foreign trade act.:

                            The bonafide gifts up to a value limit of rs.5, 000/-, imported by post, are exempt from basic and additional customs duties in terms notification no.171/93-cus, dated[protected]. Further, only those items can be imported as gifts, which are not prohibited for importation under foreign trade (Development and regulation) act, 1992. The sender of the gift may not necessarily be residing in the country from where the goods have been dispatched and any person abroad can send the gifts to relatives, business associates, friends, companies and acquaintances. The gifts have to be for bonafide personal use. The purpose of this stipulation is that the person receives the gift genuinely free and the payment is not made for it through some other means. The quantity and frequency of the gifts should not give rise to the belief that it is used as a route to transfer money. The gifts can be received by individuals, societies, institutions, like schools and colleges and even corporate bodies.

                            For calculating the value limit of rs.5, 000/- in case of imports of gifts, postal charges or the airfreight is not taken into consideration. The value of rs.5, 000/- is taken as the value of the goods in the country from where these were dispatched.

                            If the value of the gifts received is more than rs.5, 000/-, the receiver has to pay customs duty on the whole consignment, even if the goods were received free, unsolicited.in addition, at the discretion of the assistant/ deputy commissioner, if the goods are restricted for import, the receiver has a liability for penalty for such import, even if the goods have been sent unsolicited. The restricted goods are also liable to confiscation and receiver has to pay redemption fine in lieu of confiscation in addition to duty and penalty. Certain prohibited goods like narcotic drugs, arms, ammunition, obscene films/printed material etc. Are liable to absolute confiscation and the receiver is liable to penal action, even if the goods have been sent unsolicited.

                            Customs duty is chargeable on gifts assessed over rs.5, 000/- by the customs.in case of post parcel, the customs department assesses the duty payable and the postal department collects the assessed duty from the receiver of the gift and subsequently deposits it with the customs.

                            Now you are charging me inr 742 and also dhl charges total inr 1, 922 something more than the piece of the item as name of custom fees as the item is not custom-able. I am really disappoint with dhl.

                              Subject : are we supposed to pay for the incompetence of your import clearance team
                              Reference : awb no [protected] dated 25.08.2019

                              The facts of the case are as below;
                              1. We received advance bill of entry (Attached file 1. Jpg - pages) for our approval vide email dated 26.08.2019
                              2. We informed immediately that the proposed be was wrong & duty amount of rs 6478.65 was not
                              Liveable against the imported product covered under hsn code 85176970
                              3. 2 no previous bill of entries of imports/clearance through dhl were attached as support with our above email dated 26.08.2019 from email id madan singh (Dhl in)

                                Parcel was booked on 21/08/2019 by an agent "Balaji International Couriers & Cargo LLP", New Delhi, charging Rs 5600, from me.
                                It was to be delivered to an address in Arizona state to my daughter, who has recently gone there for higher studies. It contained some essential items for her, urgently required there. The items would cost her a considerable amount if bought there.
                                By DHL courier Tracking no. [protected], I came to know the status as delivered on 26th Aug 2019; but on inquiring from daughter, I found it not delivered. Immediately I lodged a complaint at DHL website, which is not acknowledged till date. If it is not acknowledged because I have not booked directly with DHL, then it should have shown through a pop up message there, instead of keeping the customer in dark. My daughter complaint to DHL, Tucson on 27th Aug. with ticket #[protected]. I complaint to Balaji Courier & they are regularly updating me. They earlier forwarded a message from DHL that item was delivered wrongly to "823 Drachman St Drachman building University gardens" instead of " 823 University gardens Drachman Street " Tucson 85719. But today I received a forwarded message from DHL through my agent which reads "shipment was left at the front door & driver went back to verify delivery & was delivered correctly" .
                                I am totally stunned by the completely irresponsible behaviour of DHL which accepts the delivery person's act quite justified, who just leaves the parcel at an address without bothering to call my daughter's US mobile number, given to them.
                                Please retrieve the parcel immediately from the wrongly delivered address & give it to my daughter, as it contains her personal items & clothes etc. urgently required by her. She should be contacted over phone before the delivery man moves towards her residence, to avoid unattended front door delivery.

                                  My parcel from uk for ahmedabad is on hold for last 9 days in mumbai without any further communication. I have already explained what is inside my parcel twice via email and in person when i handed over this parcel in uk dhl depot. My waybill number - [protected]
                                  If you cannot deliver my parcel than please return it back to me in uk.
                                  What is the point of paying premium delivery charges if you are unable to deliver???

                                    I have sent courier from zambia contain used kitchen items and books etc. Dhl refresentative asked duties will be required. Then i have given declaration that it is for personal use and used items and not of commercial value. But then communication from him. Later on pooja pandire custom agent section told your courier need to be cleared under baggage. It will require custom clearance etc.
                                    It's totally harassment of common people. First of all it has not guided by dhl which category, whose name etc to be booked. Second when its known that used items are shipped why duties asked. Whats the role of dhl team? Simply threaten in name of custom clearance? Ask additional charges for dhl inefficient working.
                                    Need lesson to be taught to dhl not only collect huge money but deliver services efficiently
