I purchased a Digitek DRL-18HC9 18-inch Ring Light with Stand from Amazon India. Upon receiving the product, I found that the stand is unstable and defective — it doesn’t move freely at the base, making it impossible to use for filming.
I contacted Digitek support and shared a video of the issue along with the invoice. Their response was to ask me to courier the defective product at my own cost, despite it being a manufacturing fault.
When I requested reimbursement of courier charges and asked for assurance about the quality of the replacement, the support team began copy-pasting the same response repeatedly without actually addressing my concerns.
This has caused significant inconvenience and wasted time. As a customer, I should not have to bear return charges or be forced to deal with poor support for a faulty product.
I’m filing this complaint to highlight:
Poor post-sale support by Digitek
Unfair courier charge request for a defective product
Lack of clear communication and accountability
I’ve already submitted a formal complaint through the proper consumer support channels and will escalate further if needed.
