I am writing to bring to your attention my extremely disappointing experience at Disha Eye Hospital, Durgapur. During my recent visit, I noticed that the overall behaviour of staff members — including the security guard, gatekeeper, cashier desk staff, and registration desk staff — was very rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful towards patients and their attendants.
Hospitals are places where patients and their families come with hope and often under stress. In such a sensitive environment, we expect staff members to be polite, supportive, and respectful. However, the behaviour I experienced was exactly the opposite. Instead of assistance, we faced unnecessary arrogance and disrespectful conduct, which only added to the distress.
This kind of behaviour not only tarnishes the reputation of the hospital but also discourages patients from seeking treatment here.
I request you to kindly look into this matter seriously and take immediate corrective steps to ensure that:
1. Staff are properly trained in patient interaction and basic courtesy.
2. Clear guidelines are enforced regarding professional and respectful behaviour.
3. Patients and their families are treated with the dignity they deserve.
I hope you will take this complaint in the right spirit and take necessary action at the earliest, so that no other patient has to go through such an unpleasant experience. Was this information helpful? |
