Dish tv has been acting unprofessionally a lot off lately and since there in no transparent and effective process in place to take care of customer complaints, i finally decided to put this issue in forum. I am sure there would be lots of similar cases.
After so called removal of ten channels from the base packages in between the subscription duration, dish tv asked to pay rs. 10 per month for availing the channel again -
1. Technically you pay twice for a channel for same duration just because ten and dish had some business issue, customer bear the burden). I believe this is a violation of a basic agreement when a customer has paid full for some service and in return he gets only 80% of what he ordered.
I called up on customer care thrice but executives nare not knowledgeable enough to respond properly and they just come up with a robotic pre memorised statement. If you tell then to connect with their supervisor, they will make you wait for 10 mins and then say that supervisor is busy. Issue didn't get resolved.
2. I waited and followed up for 3 days and later had to end up paying the amount to view ten 1 again since dish tv has a poorest of the poor customer service. Now hoping that since i paid again channel will run smooth for next 1 month. To my surprise channel again got switched off after a week giving an error message that i need to subscribe this channel. I availed the channel on 12 jan and since then channel has switched off thrice for at least 3 days. So effectively our of 24 days upto today, channel was switched off for 8-9 days. To add up to this, i had to call customer care each time and each call at least takes a minimum of 12-14 mins to get over (Amount spent 10 rs. Per call).
Effectively i had to spend 30-35 rs. For a channel that cost 10 rs. Per month and still didn't get full service. Ridiculous on dish tvs behalf to do absolutely nothing about it.
I would be eager to know how dish tv plan to compensate for the money, time and energy that had to be wasted for a nonsensical issue that should not have happe at first place since this issue is between dish tv and ten and customer should not suffer.
Quite a bad branding for dish tvs product and services.
